What do the Cleveland Browns do now? After Jameis Winston gave the Cleveland team much-needed hope in the last game against the Baltimore Ravens, the franchise is back to its old ways again. In the 27-10 loss, Jameis Winston threw three picks and was somehow not able to utilize all the talent at his disposal. Maybe Amari Cooper was right to exit when he saw the chance.
Speaking of people leaving the Browns, other players might soon be available for trade. The Cleveland team has to cover up for Deshaun Watson’s huge paycheck and their front office might look like a yard sale soon. Mike Florio knows what players might be up for grabs if such a thing were to happen.

“There’s an expectation the Browns will trade veteran pass rusher Za’Darius Smith to the Lions before Tuesday’s deadline,” Florio said and speculated that this is because of Aidan Hutchinson’s injury. Per Florio’s report, Kevin Stefanski didn’t comment on who’s up for a trade.

As far as Za’Darius Smith is concerned, he seemed upset after the loss and didn’t speak to the media. The Browns are now 2-7 and this season seems unsalvageable. They might as well start trading players for future draft picks. Even David Njoku, who is playing his 8 season in the NFL might soon be up for grabs.

“Now that the Browns have lost again, other veteran players could be available over the next 48 hours. One name to keep an eye on, tight end David Njoku, he could be available for the right price,” Florio added later. Njoku’s production has been at a standstill this season as he never had more than 80 yards in a game.
So far, he has 2 touchdowns in six games he’s played. The tight end missed three games due to an ankle injury he suffered in week 1. This is a recurring injury so teams might be a bit apprehensive about signing him. Let’s talk about their performance in the 27-10 loss against the Bolts.

Jameis Winston needs to look back to his speeches to get motivated after throwing three picks and taking six sacks. The Chargers defense held the Cleveland Browns at 79 yards rushing and the only touchdown the Browns scored came in the fleeting moments of the final quarter. Winston threw a 17-yard pass to Cedric Tillman and Dustin Hopkins had scored a FG in the second quarter.
Coming back to David Njoku, he had all but 5 receptions over 29 yards and no touchdowns either. This was the Tight End’s second-worst game of the season. As far as Za’Darius Smith is concerned, he had just one tackle throughout the game. The Browns DE has amassed 14 solo tackles and 5 sacks this season.

At some point, some of the Browns players might feel like their talent is being wasted in a franchise that has been struggling at quarterback since they hired Deshaun Watson. The Browns might have to rebuild next year and a lot of their current players might not be with them by that time.
