We get paid for 17 weeks. Not 10, not 11, not five, so if you’re the starter, you want to play all the games. I want to be out there with my guys and battle as long as I feel healthy.” Aaron Rodgers, who recently appeared at The Pat McAfee Show, is confident about his health and eager to play every game of the season with his team. However, there are a couple of underlying harsh realities to it, which Rodgers might not be able to see at the moment.

Veteran analyst Mike Florio revealed some major predictions that surely have the power to derail Aaron Rodgers’s thought process. During a recent episode of Sunday Night Football on NBC, Florio addressed his prediction to the four-time MVP, “I think I have some concern that you’re (Rodgers) going to get an injury in one of these late games, that’s going to basically answer the question for you as to whether or not you’re going to play next year because if you’re damaged goods coming out of this season, if you’ve got a serious injury to rehab, why bother especially if the phone line isn’t burning up with teams trying to sign Aaron Rogers.

Well, indeed it’s a thought-provoking point about Aaron Rodgers’s future in the NFL, despite him being confident of playing as much as he wants. But that’s not where the sports commentator closed up his arguments. He also touched on the possibility that these next five games mark the end of the Jets’s quarterback’s illustrious career. He speculated that “these are the last five games you’re ever going to play in your entire career, quite possibly in the event that it doesn’t work out next year, planets don’t line up right.” Who knows?

This means Aaron Rodgers currently has two options left: one is if he proves himself in the remainder of the season without being injured, and the second is if he successfully wins the trust of the franchise. Probably, then only he can dream of another year with the team. Till now, he has completed 262 of 419 attempts for 2,627 with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has been sacked 28 times in the 2024 season for the New York Jets.

In addition to that, there is also one thing that Mike Florio suggested. That is, if the Jets bring in a new coach like Bill Belichick, who sees potential in Rodgers’s game, then it might be possible that his game will improve. But until then, Aaron Rodgers seems to be living his previous era, confident enough about his future in the team.

Aaron Rodgers is sure nothing will happen to him

Despite the Jets sitting at 3-9, and the tension brawling on the internet over Aaron Rodgers’s performance, the quarterback is sure about his seat in the team. So, when the reporters asked him about his plan to return in 2025, the QB said, “I just redid my house here in Jersey. My goal was to play a few more years here. I’d like to play well and feel like I’m wanted back.

Is Aaron Rodgers ignoring the signs, or does he truly have more seasons left in him?

Have an interesting take?

However, that doesn’t mean he isn’t prepared for anything wrong. His further statements where he said, “If not, I will not be offended, I won’t be upset,” prove that. But about this thought where many believe that only five games are left on the table for him to prove his worth, Aaron Rodgers thinks “it is ridiculous, with all due respect.” He expressed, “If they want me to stay, fantastic. If it takes these five games, maybe they don’t know what I bring to the table, but that being said, I’d love to play really frigging well the last five games.”

So, although according to Aaron Rodgers, this season might not go as well as per the expectations, the next year surely will, because he is feeling healthy!
