While a high-octane clash is set to take place between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show will be a respite for fans this year. It’s R&B and Pop star Usher, who will light up the Allegiant Stadium with calming music. However, he is in a dilemma about which song to choose.
In a three-decade-long music career. Usher has given several hits and has recently released a new album as well. But as he gets ready for the Chiefs vs 49ers showdown, the 45-year-old is finding it hard to choose what to perform.

‘Good Good’, ‘OMG’, ‘Yeah’, and many more, Usher has delivered hundreds of songs in his 30-year career. But the half-time show is only for 12 minutes. This makes his song selection task very difficult. Usher is feeling the pressure ahead of the Super Bowl LVIII. “It was a lot to try and squeeze in 30 years in 12 minutes“, he revealed in an interview with CBS Mornings.
However, he added that ‘culture’ was the part he didn’t want to miss, as was advised to him by JayZ. “We doing this for culture“, he added. Usher will be performing alone at the halftime show since no other artist has been announced yet but before the start of the game, Post Melone, Reba McEntyre, and Andra Day are set to mark the start of the football carnival. Reba will be performing the National Anthem while the other two artists will perform ‘America the Beautiful’ and ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ respectively. But before they take center stage, Usher has found a perfect mix of songs for the halftime show.

Usher may have found a perfect mix of his songs for the Super Bowl LVIII. The 45-year-old explained the thinking of fans, saying that they want the artists to perform their biggest hits, songs that they have loved, songs through which they came to know him. And thus, Usher will walk on similar lines.

“I was very mindful of my past, celebrating my present, which is here in Las Vegas, and thinking about where we’re heading in the future”, he revealed earlier in an interview which means the 12-minute performance will feature past hits, moments from Las Vegas Residency, and upcoming album ‘Coming Home’. However, there could still be some changes, so don’t miss the Usher rocking the Allegiant Stadium.
