Is Dennis Allen's calm demeanor a sign of confidence or ignorance of the Saints' dire situation?

That was a major blow for the New Orleans Saints which came in Week 7 on Thursday night football. The New Orleans Saints didn’t just get defeated, they were actually crushed by 23 points by the Denver Broncos at the Caesars Superdome on October 17. Now this has created a buzz among social media users, and the Saints’ fans, who now want head coach Dennis Allen to be fired.

But it seems, Dennis Allen isn’t worrying about his potential upcoming future, as he appeared unbothered by his firing rumors in a post-game presser. While speaking to the media, Allen said, reporter John Hendrix on X, “the Saints are going to come back in on Monday and be a normal day.” Well, that’s quite an optimistic approach by Allen.

In addition to that, he went on saying, “I want guys to get some rest. I want guys to get some recovery….guys that are injured will spend the weekend in the building to get healthy.” It was a brutal loss for New Orleans, but coach Dennis Allen’s comment appeared relaxed as if his job securing isn’t under looming clouds.

Although it’s still unrevealed about the upcoming scenario of the Saints coach’s future by the franchise, fans are expecting a firing soon in the facility. And it’s not like these fans weren’t expecting his firing since this loss, they demanded the same last year, when the franchise failed to reach the playoffs with a 9-8 score.

Nevertheless, as the entire second half witnessed the “Fire Dennis Allen” chants through the Superdome, it remains to be seen how far these Saints’ fans are heard by the organization. Until then, the team is getting themselves ready for the next game, as they face off another serious battle post-Denver game.

Besides him, quarterback Derek Carr too is out of injury, as he missed his second game due to an oblique strain. But wait! The injury list didn’t end here. The key wide receivers of the Saints – Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (season-ending knee injury) – are also ruled out.
