“I do not apologize. I did not participate,” said Jim Harbaugh in August while addressing the alleged sign-stealing scandal from his time at the University of Michigan. As he moved on to the Los Angeles Chargers, his replacement in Michigan, Sherrone Moore, was also being investigated as a part of the scandal.
But Harbaugh’s stance on the matter is clear, and he is unapologetic about it. This is a trait the Chargers’ Scott Matlock admires. On November 5, he was on The Rich Eisen Show, where he spoke about Harbaugh. What did he say?
The 6th-round pick from the 2023 NFL Draft stated, “I love that guy. I think he’s been a big blessing for our organization and I think you can already see, like the, you know, the little bit of success that we are having. You can just tell the trajectory that this organization is on and everyone loves him.”

That’s right. The team has been 5-3 till Week 9. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next. Their Week 10 game against the Tennessee Titans will take place on November 10.
The Chargers are well-placed in the playoff race with 6th position. What they need to do now is to stay in those positions to qualify for the postseason. Though the Chiefs are at the top of the AFC West division with no defeat, the Chargers are also doing everything they can do to win games. In fact, one of the first things Jim Harbaugh did was make QB Justin Herbert their starting signal caller.
Matlock, who is in awe of the famed coach, further added on The Rich Eisen Show, “Obviously, he’s unapologetically himself, but I think that’s what all everyone loves about him. He always keeps you on your toes somehow. I’m just lucky to have him well.”
Well, Jim Harbaugh has completely altered the Matlock’s playing style. He plays both in defense and in offense and that’s brought a lot of attention to the coach too. While the Chargers locker room is impressed by the HC, the NCAA is investigating his time at Michigan.

Though Jim Harbaugh has denied any part in such activities, he hasn’t given his phone records to the NCAA. The coach claimed he never lied and never will as he was taught to be truthful. He has reiterated that he takes pride in his moral values. No concrete evidence has been established against him, but the NCAA is not yet done with the investigation.,
There are two things that can happen. Either the college football league finds evidence and charges him with a level 1 violation or he remains unapologetic. Fans and players like him this way. His pursuit of success is unparalleled. The Bolts feel he would bring their first Super Bowl to the SoFi Stadium. Do you think they will be successful? Let us know in the comments below.
