The NFL world might adore the Colts’ Quenton Nelson. However, they are not the only ones floored by his technique and detailed breakdowns. Even the beloved Pacers baller, Tyrese Haliburton, seems to be trying to learn from the example. With the NBA team gearing up to play the Knicks, the point guard ended up sharing how he was prepping for his next game.
In a recent post on X, the Indiana Pacers official account shared a clip of Haliburton at the St. Vincent Center. The 24-year-old revealed how he was preparing for his upcoming game against the Knicks. He stated, “It’s no secret how hard they play. No secret how hard everybody crashes the glass. I keep telling guys I’m watching Quenton Nelson’s film preparing for this, for this series.”

It comes as no surprise that Haliburton might want to pick up a few things from Nelson. After all, it will be the first time the Pacers and the Knicks have played each other in the playoffs since 2013. With so much riding on the coach and players to ensure a win, it might serve them well as the 28-year-old has had with a remarkable journey with four All-Pro selections in his first four seasons and a trajectory into the NFL Hall of Fame rather early in his career.
After spending seven seasons with the Colts and raking up quite an impressive streak, Nelson recently opened up about what he expects from this season.

In a recent conference for the Indiana Colts, Quenton Nelson talked about what it was like for the team to come back to practice. The 28-year-old stated, “It’s great, we’ve got a lot of guys coming back and just have a year under our belt in the system and there’s a lot of familiarity.” After all, the guard had been practicing with quarterback Anthony Richardson, who just made his way back after an injury wiped him out four games into the season.

When asked about Richardson, the Colts guard said that it was great that he was back on the field playing the game he loved. The 28-year-old also hyped up the 2023 NFL Draft pick by calling him, “everything you want in a quarterback.” He added that he got to watch the young QB work in silence and come out as a leader. After all, with the 21-year-old having played only four games last season, he may come back with a vengeance.
During the conversation, Nelson also hinted at leveling up his game this year. The guard told interviewers that he had switched up his workout routine based on the performance from his previous year. With 2023 being a relatively better year for the 28-year-old after a bad ‘22, fans might have the chance to see him try and come back bigger and better for the upcoming football season.
