Despite SoFi Stadium’s reputation as one of the NFL’s premier venues, it boasts a staggering $5.5 billion price tag. The Los Angeles Rams are gearing up for a crucial Thursday night football game against the New Orleans Saints. This would be only the second time this season they won’t take the field on a Sunday.
The unique circumstance is further emphasized by the Rams playing two consecutive games on SoFi Stadium’s artificial turf within just five days. However, this concerns Cooper Kupp keenly, as he holds a strong disdain for one particular element: the turf.

The NFL as an organization has been trying to cluster a lot of games together. Such a crowded schedule doesn’t give the players enough time to recover from their previous games. Well, this puts the players in danger of getting injured, which defeats the whole purpose of the profit that the organization is concerned about. So, Cooper Kupp expressed concern about this.
Kupp said, “As you know, I hate it. I’m not a fan of turf in general, and it’s obviously tough going back-to-back on a short week. But it is what it is. I know people are certainly aware of it. If there’s going to be change, that’s going to come; it’s not because people don’t know, you know?”.
Furthermore, he added, “Everyone’s got to do it. Everyone’s got to get it done on turf, and just part of this game, and you got to deal with it.” Moreover, Cooper Kupp is treading his steps because of the recent Tyreek Hill injury that took place because of the turf.

Tyreek Hill’s turf-related injury
ESPN reports that Tyreek Hill, a crucial player for the Miami team, was observed running clean routes on the field during pregame warm-ups. Despite his evident presence, the Miami organization is adopting a cautious approach with Hill, their star player. Especially as the playoffs draw near. Head coach Mike McDaniel had earlier labeled Tyreek Hill as day-to-day following an injury sustained during “Monday Night Football.”
The MVP candidate had suffered the injury late in the first quarter, impacting his ability to stay in the game until the third quarter. The injury occurred when Titans cornerback Sean Murphy. His bunting hit Tyreek Hill behind the line of scrimmage, causing the receiver to land awkwardly on his left ankle.
