On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins faced off against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Dolphins emerged victorious in this game with a score of 20-13, during which wide receiver Tyreek Hill made a significant contribution by catching 10 passes for 146 yards and scoring one touchdown. However, this game also made headlines for another reason. Prior to the game, the Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill received an unusual warning from referee Bill Vinovich.

On Tuesday night, during the debut of the in-season edition of the HBO show “Hard Knocks” on television, footage showed Hill engaged in a conversation with the referees before the Sunday game. Hill’s hilarious response to the referee’s comment grabbed immediate attention, drawing eyes to the new rule in place, specifically surrounding the WR.

Tyreek Hill is known for his iconic celebration, where, as he approaches the end zone, he displays a peace sign. However, this celebration has become an annoyance for the referees. In the video, referee Bill Vinovich can be seen giving a warning to Hill, stating, “Have a great game today. Two things: Be sure you get set on your shifts and no peace signs, please. I don’t want to have to make a decision.”

To this, Hill could be hilariously seen responding, “I’m spreading world peace!” But Vinovich was not in the mood to listen to his excuses and in a rather stern tone replied, “Just don’t do anything after, man.”

Hill is renowned for his harmless banters with players from the opposing teams. Before this game, Hill had been fined numerous times throughout the season for his peace sign celebration, which was one of the reasons the referee warned him beforehand. This time, he agreed with the referee and refrained from displaying any peace sign during the game.

Hill is one of those players in the NFL who has received numerous fines for his behavior on the field, with his peace sign being the primary reason for these penalties. In Week 5, against the New York Giants, he was fined approximately $10,000 for displaying the peace sign on his way to the end zone.

The reason for this fine is the NFL rule, which stipulates that players cannot celebrate before reaching the end zone; celebrations are only allowed after crossing the touchdown line.

Prior to that, he has also been fined for not wearing socks. However, he has now complied with the league’s uniform guidelines. On social media, he revealed that he has paid more than $100,000 in fines to the NFL. It will be intriguing to see how much higher that fine escalates by the end of the league for Hill.
