The Dolphins did not have a particularly successful season. The team fell in many games, finishing with 8 victories and 9 losses. Tyreek Hill, the team’s most expected performer, carried a lot of weight. As a result, he was unable to perform at his full potential. Despite his good performance during the season, the WR was disappointed, feeling that he could have done much more. And it appears that this disappointment has given him motivation for 2025.

If you recall, there were various reports claiming that the WR could leave the Dolphins. There was conjecture that Hill could return to the Chiefs. At that time Kansas also needed a terrific wide receiver, but this trade did not materialize. The WR was rumored to be leaving shortly, but Hill just stated that he has no plans to leave the Dolphins anytime soon. Tyreek Hill took to X and posted: “This will be my best year yet dolfans”

Tyreek Hill finished the 2024 regular season with 81 receptions for 959 yards and 6 TDs. While these numbers are not bad, everyone knows that Hill can do significantly better. And perhaps the WR was unable to give his all since he could not connect well with Tua Tagovailoa. Speculation about these angles emerged after Hill posted a photo on Instagram with Patrick Mahomes. And in it he wrote “The connection was special.”

Hill’s words fueled his trade speculations and the Dolphins fans were on the edge of their seat to see what would happen. But, every trade has its own set of challenges, and perhaps as a result of these, the WR has decided to give it another shot for Dolphins fans.

So far, the Miami team has been looking out for many issues that need to be addressed. But, they can now eliminate one requirement: the quest for a versatile wide receiver. After all, you can’t get more versatile than Hill. But they can’t really relax right now because, while one Pro Bowler has confirmed his status, a different Pro Bowler is maybe looking to opt out.

After Tyreek Hill’s confirmation, the Dolphins will focus on Terron Armstead

You know what they say: problems never come from one direction. And this is the Dolphins‘ current scenario. While they need to cope with the probable draft pick to upgrade their offensive line and the Cornerback issue. The squad had a lot of issues with WR Tyreek Hill and OT Terron Armstead. Now that Hill’s problem has been resolved for them. Their next concern is whether Armstead will choose to hang his boots or not.

Several reporters have speculated that the OT does not intend to continue playing football. He is, after all, 33 years old and may wish to relax and watch the game from home from now on. And the question here is whether the Pro Bowler is willing to give another year to the game. As his last season was not up to the mark. And due to all these factors, Armstead has not made a choice yet. On the other hand, the dolphins are suspended between a stone and a rock due to Armstead’s situation.

The team could either go with a young OT and invest in him, but if Terron returned, he would only be benched. Or the team could go ahead and trust Terron, but if the OT retires, they will have to make a quick decision and choose any OT available at the time.

Aside from these challenges, the squad is experiencing contractual and financial difficulties with players such as Jaelan Phillips, Channing Tindall, and Jake Bailey. Perhaps the month of March will be the most demanding and essential for the team. After all, they will select their main roaster this month, so we’ll just have to wait and see who they choose.
