Ending the season at 8-9 isn’t great, sure, but losing to the 4-12 Jets to close it out? That’s a whole new level of salt in the wound for the Dolphins. You see, Miami’s season was a rollercoaster—except there weren’t many highs (clearly!). There were play-calling blunders from Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion saga (to the point folks were questioning his future), and crucial games slipping through their fingers. Yet, through the chaos, Tyreek Hill stayed resilient, powering through even with a wrist injury.

That grit? It’s why The Cheetah has every shark in the league circling.

Enter the real MVP of negotiations—Drew Rosenhaus. You know, the guy who turns player demands into front-office migraines. He recently spilled the tea: “Tyreek Hill broke his wrist in a scrimmage against the Commanders in Training Camp… He wasn’t gonna miss the season & he wanted to play… He’s committed to the Miami Dolphins & he had an excellent meeting with Chris Grier & Mike McDaniel.”

Translation? Hill played hurt, balled out, and now he’s letting Rosenhaus work his magic. For Hill, playing through pain is just part of the hustle. But is this commitment enough to fix Miami’s deeper issues? Sure, Hill’s wrist held up, but the Dolphins’ season didn’t. One of the main culprits for not getting that playoffs ticket punched is McDaniel’s play calling.

But don’t worry, we won’t call it bad because it has just become too predictable. Do you remember during the Texans game when DeMeco Ryans successfully predicted McDaniel’s play? Yeah, it has come to that. So, some freshening up can actually go a long way.

You see, with the questions swirling about McDaniel’s decisions. Plus, Tua’s durability… Well, it’s clear Miami has more to fix than just a broken wrist. Even Drew said it: “I think he’s the least guy that people should be worried about for this organization. They have many more worries, Tyreek Hill is not one of them.”

What’s your perspective on:

Can Tyreek Hill's loyalty and grit turn the tide for the struggling Miami Dolphins next season?

Have an interesting take?

But after what Hill has said in public, it’s not to think about his future. Will Hill get rewarded for his loyalty, or will those circling sharks find a way to lure The Cheetah away? Who says they are not trying already? (looking at Micah Parsons)

Will Tyreek Hill really move on?

Miami’s vibe feels… off. Mike McDaniel stays. But Tyreek Hill’s venting. The man’s clearly not happy, and honestly, can you blame him? The Dolphins missed the playoffs, again, and now Hill is publicly airing his frustrations.

Add Micah Parsons into the mix, openly recruiting Hill on social media, and you’ve got the NFL equivalent of a messy breakup brewing. Plus, Parsons even threw in a cheeky sales pitch: “[Tyreek Hill], we can be the fastest duo in the league!!! We also don’t have state income taxes!” Talk about sweetening the deal.

Meanwhile, this is not outta nowhere. Rather, it stems from Hill’s post-season comments that weren’t exactly subtle. “I’m out, bruh. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for my career.” Yikes. You see, Hill’s not just venting. But he’s setting the stage for a potential exit. Despite two years left on his deal, he’s made it clear he’s too much of a competitor to stick around if Miami can’t get it together.

Statistically, Hill’s 2024 season was his weakest since his rookie year. Sure, 81 catches for 959 yards isn’t terrible, but for The Cheetah, it’s a far cry from his usual dominance. But having said that, let’s not forget the Dolphins’ struggles this season. Tua Tagovailoa missed six games, and Mike McDaniel’s play-calling raised more eyebrows than points. It’s not hard to see why Hill’s patience is wearing thin.

If Hill does leave, where could he land? The Steelers need a dynamic receiver. The 49ers? Imagine Hill in Kyle Shanahan’s offense—terrifying. Or maybe the Raiders, with Tom Brady trying to rebuild Vegas into a contender. But while it looks good on paper, no one has even speculated these possibilities on the screen.

So, is Tyreek Hill really out? It feels like he’s halfway out the door already. Whether Miami can convince him to stay is the real Hail Mary here.
