Recently, the former Chiefs star wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, has been in the headlines a lot. After all, the Miami Dolphins star requested the team extend his contract as he wanted to “retire in Miami.” However, he got no response. Now, the 30-year-old has continued his media streak by defending his favorite WWE after former NFL quarterback, Robert Griffin III, sparked controversy by leaving out a wrestling legend from his list of the top 5 greatest of all time.
In a post on X, the former Redskins quarterback shared his top 5 WWE wrestlers. He wrote, “Who are your top 5 Greatest @WWE Wrestlers of all time?” Before adding that, his choices were the Rock, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Undertaker, and Ric Flair. The 34-year-old also stated, “@JohnCena is on this list, you just can’t see him.”

Although he had covered most of the beloved wrestlers, Hill believed that he left one legend out. In a repost, the 30-year-old wrote, “If there’s a list without Golddust, it’s wrong.” After all, the former wrestler, AKA Dustin Rhodes, had a slew of WWE/WWF achievements throughout 1995 to 2018. In fact, he may have left the WWE. However, the 55-year-old could not leave the world of wrestling behind and signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Although Hill may have loved watching Goldust as he grew up, there was one incident that told the now 30-year-old that it was not the sport for him to thrive in.

Why Tyreek Hill does not wrestle
Tyreek Hill might be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL right now. However, in a clip on YouTube, the 30-year-old once revealed why he chose not to wrestle. In the video, he could be heard saying that his coach at the time had coaxed him into it by convincing the athlete that he was “gonna win state,” but that did not end up happening. Instead, the Dolphins star stated, “Went to practice, man, this white kid put me on my head so quick, boy. He didn’t see me no more.”
While the recollection of the incident had Hill’s friends laughing, it was not his finest moment. The wide receiver defended himself, saying that he was only 15 years old when it happened. Although it might have seemed like an excuse to some, they understood where the 30-year-old was coming from. After all, he had “started late” and that always came with some consequences.

Hill was confused about 15 being too late to start wrestling, but he chose not to argue and added, “I got one of my sons in wrestling right now.” Although the Phins’ star was unable to keep up with MMA, that has not stopped him from getting his kids interested in the sport that was not for him.
However, Hill recently hinted that he might be ready to pick up the boxing gloves again. Just a few short months ago, the 30-year-old ended up challenging Jake Paul on X to a boxing match. While there has been no update on the match, it could potentially happen if the wide receiver has another social media meltdown.
