Tyreek Hill might not be the fastest guy in the league anymore—yeah, age catches up to everyone—but don’t get it twisted. His stock? Still sky-high. Even with that lingering wrist injury, teams are circling the Dolphins like sharks at feeding time. That alone tells you just how valuable the Cheetah still is.

Hill’s wrist has been an issue since August 2024. It flared up in a joint practice with the Commanders, only to get worse as the season rolled on. By week 10, he was missing practices, playing through pain, and constantly being listed as “questionable.”

Surgery? He considered it, but decided to tough it out instead. Now, though, it looks like he might have finally gone under the knife—only this time, he didn’t announce it. Instead, Hill might’ve let it slip on Instagram. While promoting an event at his Soul Runner store, he showed up rocking what appeared to be a cast on his left wrist.

“Yo, anybody in the Aventura area, come pull up on me at the Soul Runner,” Hill said. “I’ll be up there at 4:30 today [Feb. 21]. It closes at 9 o’clock. So, I’ll be there all day, hanging out. Come vibe with me, come ask me questions, whatever.” No official injury update, no press release—just Tyreek casually dropping a clue for fans to pick up.

Maybe it was the adrenaline. Maybe it was just Tyreek being Tyreek. Back in November 2024, surgery was on the table, but Hill brushed it aside like a cornerback trying to jam him at the line. “It’s my call at the end of the day,” he said. And his call? Stay on the field, no matter what. But that was then. Now? The cast on his wrist and the whispers around the league suggest that the call might have changed.

Even with the injury, Hill stayed locked in. Played through the pain. Took pride in being more than just a deep-threat burner. “I feel like I took a step forward in my game,” he said, crediting Wes Welker for refining his skills beyond the highlight-reel plays. The numbers took a hit—his 51.3 yards per game were a far cry from the 100-yard explosions we’re used to. But he didn’t care.

He kept showing up, even if it meant gutting it out every Sunday.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Tyreek Hill just drop a bombshell about his wrist surgery on Instagram?

Have an interesting take?

And yet, despite all that? The rumors are heating up. Teams still want the Cheetah. A 30-year-old wideout with a banged-up wrist, supposedly past his prime, and franchises are still lining up like it’s Black Friday? That tells you everything.

Tyreek Hill’s locked in an AFC battle

Bill Barnwell just threw out a wild idea: “Here’s a crazy move: Get Lamar Jackson, the best receiver he’s ever gotten in Tyreek Hill.” Yeah, that got Baltimore’s attention. Imagine Lamar launching bombs to the Cheetah. Defenses would be in full panic mode. But hold up—before we start penciling in a Ravens Lombardi parade, there’s another twist in the story.

Enter Adam Rank from NFL.com, who’s got a different theory. He’s eyeing a Homecoming for Hill. The Dolphins star wasn’t exactly subtle about his frustrations after a disappointing season in Miami. And while the team and Hill himself have tried to shut down trade talk, nothing has been completely ruled out.

Rank even makes a bold point—if Miami isn’t on the brink of a Super Bowl, why not move Hill to a team that is? Makes sense, right?

So, where would that be? Well… Kansas City, of course. Yep, the same Chiefs who shipped him off to Miami in 2022. Twice now, Mahomes has won a Super Bowl without him, proving he doesn’t need Hill to get it done… Or he does!

The SB LIX? Yeah, no one’s talking about that in Missouri. But here’s the thing: their offense hasn’t been the same since he left. Now, sure, the Eagles D had the game in chains! But it doesn’t help when the unit just produces 275 yards—the second-lowest playoff total in Mahomes’ career.

Kansas City has other priorities, like making sure Mahomes stays upright. But you can’t tell me the idea of bringing Hill back isn’t tempting. Kelce isn’t getting younger, and Xavier Worthy is still a rookie. Giving Mahomes two legit weapons again? That might be the move.

As for Hill? Maybe, just maybe, he sees Kansas City as unfinished business. Sometimes, a little time away makes you appreciate what you had. Just ask Vin Diesel.
