The NFL trade is underway! The Chicago Bears made a significant move in free agency by trading a fourth-round pick to the Los Angeles Chargers for wide receiver Keenan Allen.
Allen has one year left in his 2020 contract with the Chargers and is set to receive a $5 million roster bonus soon. Since he refused to accept a pay cut from the Chargers, they traded him to the Bears.
Reacting to this trading news, Tyreek Hill shared his thoughts on his official X account. Hill, known for his social media presence, tweeted, “Justin Fields and Keenan Allen with DJ Moore oooo,” with a mind-boggling emoji. This tweet of Hill possibly suggests that the Dolphins WR finds this trade intriguing or exciting. Hill might feel excited to likely face off against three stars of the team collaborating together in the next NFL season.

However, Allen on the other hand, too, finds it challenging to face off Hill, as evident in a previous 2023 trade. During that offseason, Hill was traded to Dolphins from the Chiefs. Everyone in the NFL world reacted to that trade, including Keenan Allen. In an Instagram post of the NFL’s official page, Allen revealed his happiness to not have to face Tyreek in the season due to their different divisions.
He commented, “This one gonna expose some people!!…Glad he out the division too,” with a couple of laughing emojis. Although Hill is better than Allen as per Statmuse comparison, the fans might possibly witness an intense battle between the two in the 2024 season.
In Chicago, Allen will join wide receiver DJ Moore in their offensive lineup, strengthening the team for the next playoff berth, and who knows, may be for Lombardi the next time. So, the trade was definitely an advantage for the Bears.

The Chicago Bears topped their opportunity?
The Bears made a big move on Thursday by adding Keenan Allen, a significant player to their offense. Despite only playing 13 games in 2023, Allen managed to rack up impressive stats with 1,234 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. His addition is expected to greatly benefit the Bears as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 season. With the top pick in this year’s draft, the Bears are likely to select a new quarterback, if they decide to not go further with Justin Fields, to throw passes to Allen.
Before acquiring Allen, the Bears had around $57.185 million in salary cap space, according to Spotrac. Allen’s $23 million salary cap hit means the Bears now have approximately $34.09 million in cap space. Having the most cap space before free agency allowed the Bears to make such acquisitions.
