The Kansas City Chiefs signed and re-signed multiple talents in the off-season. However, one of the most noticeable and recent releases from the roster was L’Jarius Sneed, who was one of the instrumental pieces for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. They even franchise-tagged him, but the team parted ways with him a few months later. This recent release of the cornerback brought in a strong reminder of the former WR Tyreek Hill, who also left the team at an unexpected time.

The now Miami Dolphins WR went on the MILLION DOLLAZ WORTH OF GAME podcast and tried to give insights into how the Kansas City Chiefs operate in terms of roster management. The Chiefs not signing Hill came as a shock to many, but transactions are a part of business, no matter how irrational it might seem to the public eye and the WR highlighted the same.

One of the hosts asked the wideout how the Chiefs never gave him a deal for more than $20 million despite Hill contributing to the Super Bowl win. Continuing on from there, he further was asked, “What is it about KC that they just not, it just seemed like they not willing to pay over $20 million?”

Though the Chiefs kept him for 3 years on a $54 million deal initially, but finally ended up trading him to the Miami Dolphins. Hill tried to speculate the reason why the Kansas City team chose to do so. The host even asked the WR whether the team tried tag him or not.

“Nah they didn’t franchise me. They gave me like three year for like, it was like $18 million a year but…” said Hill and added, “I don’t know what it is man, it’s just one of those things where like they want to keep the core guys together. Like they want to be able to keep the team together. But I feel like you got a real good GM, a real good owner, and you guys are winning all these championships.”

He later quoted how the Chiefs managed to restructure Mahomes’ deal to make room for more talent. However, despite all these monetary decisions, Clark Hunt, the Chiefs owner has been getting a lot of backlashes over how “cheap” he is in his efforts to manage the Chiefs.

Reasons behind the Clark Hunt slander

NFLPA released their annual anonymous player survey that revealed a lot of things. Despite being a 4x Super Bowl-winning team, the Chiefs ranked 31 overall. Clark Hunt as an owner was rated dead last. Not only that, but the Chiefs ranked 31 in nutrition, 28 in the locker room, 32 in training staff, 26 in the cafeteria, and 18 in the treatment of families.

The only place where the team excelled was the coaching staff headed by Andy Reid, who got an A+. Arrowhead Addict revealed how the Chiefs are understaffed. At one point, Mahomes had to come forward to ask President Mark Donovan to upgrade the facility with air conditioning. Mind begs the question of how the Chiefs are operating under subpar satisfaction levels and still managing to clinch Lombardi trophies.
