The Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill has many accolades, and he just added one more to this list. The Dolphins are playing against the Las Vegas Raiders, a match that was level-headed before, but now has become one-sided in Miami?s favor. The team sustained some injuries, like Achane being ruled out again, and Hill briefly being out of the game. However, Hill came back with a bang.
A new post from NFL Rumors points towards some facts and figures that reveal why the Cheetah is amongst one of the best WRs in the league. Hill is on his way to breaking the NFL?s record of the most receiving yards in a season, but it doesn?t stop there. It seems like Hill?s time during the track and field finally paid off.

This game against the Raiders has been testing for Hill, but he came through after much pain and adversity. As of this game, Hill has more than 1,000 receiving yards, was targeted 10 times, received all of them over 146 yards, and managed to score a touchdown. In the past, the Dolphins WR has been quite vocal about getting more than 2,000 receiving yards to his name this season, and by the looks of it, he doesn?t even have to try hard to get there now.

Hill now has to score less than 100 receiving yards per game to get to the 2,000 receiving-yard mark. Last year, Hill managed to get about 1,700 yards in the season and fell short of his goal. He has become the first player in NFL history to record at least 150 yards for four of his six games with the team. This came after the recent game against the Carolina Panthers. Hill has joined the ranks of Calvin Johnson, Lance Alworth, and Jerry Rice for having 12 career games with at least 150 receiving yards.
Hill had been very vocal about achieving this milestone on his ?It Needed To Be Said? podcast. “2,000 yards was on my bucket list to get before I leave this league ? 2,000 yards and another Super Bowl ? and we getting that. Believe that.” Mentioned Hill. Hopefully, his prayers come true, and he doesn?t take any serious hits like he did today.

Paving the road to 2k
Hill mentioned how health was a key factor in helping him achieve the mark he had set for himself. Tua Tagovailoa is one of the league?s fewest players to have the most air yards in the league. Tyreek Hill takes advantage of those long passes and accumulates these yards to his name. However, it is not easy, and it comes with its own set of challenges. Health, focus, and vigilance are what Hill needs to make it to the 2k mark, as he explained earlier.
Per Hill, his focus is to help the Dolphins QB1 make plays and be available at all times. This is what?s been helping him to get those huge yards. The 7-time Pro Bowler bounced back after an injury he faced in the Raiders game. He briefly went to the locker room and came back with his hands all taped up. This is the kind of dedication he showcases to break the record he has set for himself. Do you think Tyreek can make it to 2k this year?
