“Haters gonna hate and winners gonna win.” Sometimes, this line perfectly fits the MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his game. He led the Chiefs to a 26-25 win against the Bengals. But Who Dey Nation criticized the former, claiming that they didn’t deserve that penalty. The back-to-back Super Bowl winner got support from his former teammate, Tyreek Hill.
The wide receiver played alongside Mahomes during the Super Bowl LVI triumph. And he took shots at the haters in a tweet that read, “If yall know so much about football come coach it or play it let’s see how it unfolds for you.” While everyone has his claims about the penalty decision, one thing is certain. The QB didn’t have a say in the referee’s decision.

Twitter erupted in disbelief and anger after that controversial penalty decision. While one fan wrote, “Helps when the refs throw flag to put you in field goal range and ignores the o-line holds”, another one wrote, “Bailed out by the refs again.” Another fan chimed in by writing, “refs won this for the chiefs and even chiefs fans know it.“But not everyone was angry, some also enjoyed the game because of the intense competition.
After the game, the Chiefs tweeted in respect of the Bengals. Fans also praised both teams for giving their 100% on the field. A member of Who Dey Nation commented, “I hope Bengals make it to the playoffs, because games between them and the Chiefs are always exciting.” The fans were always on the edge of their seats.

That one time when Patrick Mahomes won Tyreek Hill’s respect
While both are no longer teammates, they share an amazing bond. The WR has often praised the MVP on various occasions, even after leaving the team. In March this year, Hill appeared on The Pivot podcast. He shared an interesting story about Patrick Mahomes, that left everyone speechless.

Tyreek Hill said that the whole offense line of the Chiefs was playing badly. The team was on a losing streak. While the MVP is known for remaining calm, he lost his temper with them and cussed each one of them. Cheetah said, “That was a moment right there where he stood on business. I really respect him.” That conversation inspired him to go all-in for the team.
We know there must have been plenty of such incidents. However, after this meeting, the WR knew that the QB was a ‘different dude.‘ He indeed is! The feat he is trying to achieve is not a child’s play. A 3-peat will forever etch their names in the NFL history books. The only thing Chiefdom wants is less of such nail-biting finishes.
