A Miami Dolphins without star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is something fans don’t want to picture. But after their last game against the Tennessee Titans, is it possible that they might have to play without him? As they enter Week 15 of the regular season, each win gets more crucial as it will help them secure a playoff berth.
When Hill left the game midway on Sunday, Miami’s production suffered. Even though head coach Mike McDaniel said that there are other offensive weapons that the Dolphins could rely on, fans are not convinced.

Ian Rapoport, speaking on the show Good Morning Football, spoke about Hill and said that he had skipped practice on Wednesday. Head Coach Mike McDaniel has listed him as “day-to-day” for now and has declined to confirm if he will play against the New York Jets on Sunday. But Rapoport said that there’s hope that he might play since, after sustaining the injury, returned towards the end. And that’s a positive sign.

Hill was injured when he was hip-drop tackled in the first quarter by the opposing team’s cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting. He was trying to catch the ball thrown at him by Tua Tagovailoa. After crashing to the ground, he writhed in pain and had to leave the field. When he returned during the final moments of the game, he received an electrifying reception as the crowd chanted “MVP!”
What pushed him to play the game despite his injury?
A text from wife lights a fire in Hill

As he recuperated in the locker room, he texted his wife, telling her about the injury. What reply did he get? He didn’t get words of sympathy or anything that could comfort him. His wife texted him back, “You’d better get your a*s back in that game, dawg.” Hill did not want to disappoint his wife. And back he was on the gridiron!
However, when the time ran out, the Dolphins lagged behind the Titans by 37 yards and struggled without their star wideout. With a 9-4 record so far in the season, they are still 2 wins ahead of the next team in the AFC East division. There is no guarantee that Hill will play on Sunday, but he sure does not want to fail in achieving his goal of recording 2,000 yards or more this season.

He is currently at 1,542 and requires 112 receiving yards in each of the next four games to reach his goal. Will Hill be successful?
