Is the era of Tyreek Hill in Miami coming to an end after the Dolphins failed to make the playoffs this season? Or is there more to just Hill leaving South Beach and joining some other franchise? Well, judging by Hill’s recent activities on X, is the former Chiefs WR hinting at retirement? You know there is a real possibility, considering Hill has channeled his inner Antonio Brown, thereby leaving the Phins wondering about his next move.

Everyone in the NFL remembers how former Bucs WR Antonio Brown ended his career. He threw away his cleats, went topless, and ran back to his locker room. And you know what happened next? Brown never returned on the gridiron while ending his Pro Bowl career in the most head-turning way possible. But the Cheetah hasn’t done anything like that. Instead, he photoshopped his face into Antonio Brown’s shirtless pic and made it his new profile pic on X.

Now, that’s not the only thing Hill did in the last two days after the Dolphins’ early-season exit. He also wrote a message on X hinting at a move away from Fin Nation: “Love fin nation blessing y’all opened doors for the Hill family forever nothing, but respect and love.” See, the thing is, Tyreek still has two years left on his $90M deal he signed by leaving Kansas City. And the only way for him to leave Miami is through a trade.

Well, there could be plenty of suitors already waiting to pounce on the opportunity to add Hill to their offense. Despite his mediocre season to his standards, the Cheetah still racked up 959 receiving yards and 6 TDs on just 81 receptions. This was the first time since 2019 Hill failed to breach the 1,000 yards mark in his NFL career. So, it didn’t really surprise anyone when Tyreek Hill expressed his desire to move on. But the Dolphins’ head coach, Mike McDaniel, still has a thing or two to discuss with his star receiver.

Mike McDaniel still has a lot to say to Tyreek Hill after his bombshell interview

A player of Hill’s caliber would never be satisfied with a season without playoffs. And that’s the thing for which the Dolphins could lose their star receiver in the upcoming window. Because this is the first in Hill’s career, he won’t be playing in the postseason. So disappointment has clearly taken over Hill’s desire to stay where he is, “I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s here or wherever the case may be. I’m finna open that door for myself, I’m opening the door. I’m out, bro.”

But before dropping his intentions with the Dolphins moving forward. Hill said he “was dealing with a little issue” with his left wrist that has continued to haunt the Cheetah’s productions this year. So, the “coach kind of pulled me out of the game,” Hill said after leaving the game early against the Jets. However, McDaniel didn’t have any idea about Hill’s injury when he expressed his thoughts post-game, “I was informed that he was unavailable right before a drive. I was not informed that it was a new injury.” So the real question is, did Hill really quit on the Dolphins midway through the last game?

Besides addressing the media on Hill’s post-game comments. McDaniel also said he would have a talk with Hill after his I’m out interview went viral, “I’m not going to put too much weight on second-hand, postgame disappointment statements. We will see how the next couple of days progress in convos with him and I.” Well, there’s still some hope for the Dolphins Nation that Hill will stay back and continue helping them next season. But it’s still a big if, considering McDaniel manages to change his receiver’s mind.
