When it comes to Tyreek Hill, family will always rank above football and other commitments. The “Cheetah” proved it once again by breezing past the Miami Dolphins‘ OTAs to attend a far more important event – his son Zev’s graduation ceremony back. Sharing an adorable video of him playfully racing the young Zev on X, Hill captioned it “Missed OTA to attend my son’s graduation…not a bad day at the office.”

For the electrifying wideout, being a hands-on dad supersedes any NFL workout regimen. Who needs wind sprints when you can cherish unforgettable bonding moments instead? “You see what it is, you see my boys running around here. It don’t matter how many kids I have, a lot of people won’t be able to say Tyreek don’t take care of his kids though,” Hill stated emphatically on the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast recently. The prolific pass-catcher, who has been candid about fathering multiple children, clearly prioritizes quality family time above all else.

Yet even as Hill relishes these precious daddy-kid moments off the field, he recognizes the fine balancing act required. “Sometimes it can be so hard for me to like mentally lock in because I’ve got daughters too. You know how daughters be. They want to be Daddy’s girl. They want to be held and stuff like that,” he admitted candidly. “Sometimes it is tough, but at the same time, I’ve got to be aware I’ve still got a job to do. But I’ve got to be a father to my kids in this small moment that I’ve got them here. It’s a lot.”

Zev’s milestone accomplishment was undoubtedly his biggest W of the day for the ultra-competitive Hill, whose 1,799 receiving yards led the league last season. Hill spent his first six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, winning a Super Bowl ring along the way, before being traded to Miami in March 2022 for a hefty draft pick haul. He then inked a four-year deal with the Dolphins.

As for new fatherhood adventures, Hill’s wife Keeta Vaccaro is expecting the couple’s first child together, based on her recent Instagram post featuring an ultrasound image captioned with a heart emoji. Here, with Hill missing the OTA, even QB Tagovailoa was seen away from the OTA scenes.

While Tua hits the links for Saban’s cause, several Dolphins sit out OTAs after Tyreek Hill

Speaking of balancing priorities, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa also opted to skip Tuesday’s OTA session – but for a noble cause. The rising star QB hit the fairways for Nick Saban’s charity golf tournament back in Alabama, paying tribute to his beloved former college coach.

“He has been here for offseason activities. He has not been here for offseason activities. He has been both,” Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel pragmatically stated about Tua’s attendance, stressing open dialogue over conflicting rumors.

Tagovailoa’s presence at Saban’s event underlines his gratitude to the mentor who molded him into an NFL-caliber talent during their Alabama days together. For the dynamic QB, it was a chance to come full circle while impacting lives beyond the hash marks. McDaniel’s understanding also reflects the franchise fostering a player-friendly environment built on trust – a savvy move as Tua’s contract talks loom.

While Tua teed off for charity and Tyreek bonded with his boy, several other Dolphins skipped OTAs too, including Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham Jr., Raheem Mostert, Jalen Ramsey, and Zach Sieler among others. Though voluntary, their absences raised eyebrows about offseason regimens and rapport-building.

Yet as Hill and Tagovailoa displayed, pro ballers are human too – prioritizing family, community, and personal growth alongside gridiron glories. In an era where NFL riches are measured in mega-millions, these humble moments become surprising reminders that life’s biggest wins often happen off the field.
