You can count on Tyreek Hill to pull his teammate’s legs if nobody else in the Miami Dolphins does it. This time, it’s not one, but two of the Dolphins that the Cheetah decided to take a subtle jab on. He took to X and called Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle in a cryptic post.
Hill’s post on X read, “Anybody seen waddle or Tua.” Nobody knew what to make of it until someone in the comments pointed out that the Dolphin speedster was talking about the Vanderbilt Commodores and Alabama Crimson Tide game as Roll Tide tastes the dirt after a 40-35 bout. Maybe it’s a subtle way to take a jab at both players’ alma maters.
The Commodores were dominant from the start and scored 13 points in the first quarter alone with the help of Sedrick Alexanders and Randon Fontenette. That pick-six was something of a sight to see. In the blink of an eye, Fontenette caught the ball and returned it for a touchdown. Marvelous!

Sedrick Alexander ran in for another touchdown at the beginning of the second quarter, giving Vandy a comfortable 20-7 lead. And Brock Taylor put three more points on the board later. But there’s no way in the heavens that we can forget about that 36-yard pass to Junior Sherrill by the end of the third quarter.
But what Alabama did next surprised everyone. It was even better than Diego Pavia’s pass. Jalen Milroe’s 58-yard pass to Ryan Williams was surreal. A befitting reply to Diego Pavia. The game was too close at this point (30-28), but Vanderbilt made sure to score some more in the last quarter. Brock Taylor’s field goal and Kamrean Johnson helped Vandy seal the game as they led 40-28. Williams tried to score later with his 2-yard TD run, but it was too late.

This win must have left a sour taste in the Miami Dolphins QB-WR duo’s former mentor, Nick Saban’s mouth, who made some bold claims before the game.

Not only did he take a shot at the Vanderbilt Commodores, but the former Alabama coach also involved Vandy’s fans in the mix. By the time the game ended, most of No. 1 Alabama fans had left the stands. All that remained was a shouting mob of Vanderbilt fans. It looks like coach Saban took the Vanderbilt football team a too lightly.
“The only place you’re going to play in the SEC that’s not hard to play, Vanderbilt. When you play at Vanderbilt, you have more fans there than they have, and that’s no disrespect to them, it’s the truth,” per On3’s post on X.

Well, it seems like Vanderbilt fans might have taken Saban’s words to heart and showed up to support their team. In fact, they tore down the goal post after the victory. Also, AJ Newberry didn’t waste any time after the game and posted an Instagram Story with the score card and there were laughing emojis all over his stories. Maybe he’s trying to return the favor to coach Saban. Who knows?
