What does this connection mean? Rumors are still circulating that Tyreek Hill might have the chance to be traded soon, and the best option for him could be the Chiefs. Although the Cheetah has expressed his love for Miami, it seems his heart still beats for Patrick Mahomes and the team.
Perhaps that’s why Tyreek Hill recently shared a post on his Snapchat, reportedly showing a photo of himself in a Chiefs jersey. Not only that! In the snap, Hill can also be seen hugging his former quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, as shared by MLFootball on X. The tweet read, “Tyreek Hill on one of his posts on Snapchat… posted a picture of Pat Mahomes & him, (saying) THIS CONNECTION WAS SPECIAL.” But wait! There’s more to the picture.
In addition to the photo of him with Mahomes, the WR also “posted on Snapchat all of his old #Chiefs highlights & memories.” Well, it’s true that Tyreek Hill and Patrick Mahomes will forever be iconic. Even though the Cheetah left the Chiefs back in 2022, it’s clear there is still some unfinished business. After consistently and somewhat awkwardly promoting Tua Tagovailoa over Patrick Mahomes, it seems Hill has finally come to terms with his ex-QB.

Since losing Tua and enduring a dry spell with the Dolphins‘ backup QB, Hill has made it clear he isn’t happy. But his latest social media update takes his frustration to a new level. Before reflecting on his ‘Special Connection‘ with Patrick Mahomes, Hill shared a tweet on his official X account, saying, “Anybody seen waddle or Tua.” This post from Hill was a subtle jab at his teammates’ college alma mater, Alabama, following their upset loss to Vanderbilt.
However, it could also be sarcasm about the team losing to Vanderbilt, something that hasn’t happened in 40 years. Through this sarcasm, Tyreek Hill might be suggesting that if Jaylen Waddle and Tua Tagovailoa had been there, Alabama would have won. But this recent Snapchat post has definitely created a buzz on social media, leaving fans in speculation about his wish to trade.
Will Tyreek Hill go back to Patrick Mahomes?

Tyreek Hill’s sharing photo of him and Patrick Mahomes, as well as a highlight reel from his time at the Chiefs, only solidifies his somewhat unsaid regret of leaving an SB-winning roster for a playoff chasing franchise. Probably that’s the reason why he felt envious when the Chiefs won their 2023 Super Bowl, after his abrupt exit. At that time, he was pretty confident that the team was nothing without him. But seeing the Chiefs winning two back-to-back trophies, left him in envy. That’s why he mentioned, “This year, when they won, I watched the whole game… I’m cool now. But the first year, it was kind of hard trying to get over that hump of seeing the guys do their thing.”

Now it’s pretty clear that Tyreek Hill misses his former quarterback as well as the team. But does that mean he will be traded to KC? Well, Hill probably does like being in Miami, especially due to the pleasant weather, family connection and also being the Dolphins’ No. 1 offensive star. But, according to CBS, with “Tua Tagovailoa’s recent concussion and his growing frustration, it’s safe to say that Hill wouldn’t mind a chance to once again play” for Patrick Mahomes, who are in the hunt of their 3-peat this time.
Until then, as Hill mentioned, “I’m just focused on right here and right now,” the WR seems to stay in his “beautiful team,” Miami. So, let’s wait for the time!
