Tyreek Hill never backs down from speaking his mind. Period. Especially when it comes to other players in the NFL. Case in point: his tweet about Tua Tagovailoa. After the Dolphins quarterback was sidelined due to a concussion, a fan commented, “I Think TUA’s first play back should be a QB designed run to show the League he ain’t scared.” Hill’s response? “Who gone call the next play?”
He may have subtly suggested that Tua would meet the same fate he had against the Bills. And now, after the latest movements in his division, Tyreek Hill took the opportunity to voice his opinion on the incoming wide receivers, too.
Ever since now-former Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams told his team he’d like to be traded, many teams had him on their radar. And the Jets were seemingly leading the charge, hoping to reunite him with Aaron Rodgers. Well, that’s precisely what has happened. On October 15, the Jets tweeted, “OFFICIAL: We have traded for WR Davante Adams.” He’s not the only newcomer in the AFC East.

After a 23-20 win over the Jets on Monday, the Buffalo Bills signed Amari Cooper in a trade deal with the Browns on Tuesday. Having joined the NFL in 2015, Cooper has registered 691 receptions, 9,736 yards, and 62 touchdowns, averaging 14.1 yards per reception. As for Davante Adams (who’s been here since 2014), he’s registered 890 receptions, 10,990 yards, and 96 touchdowns while averaging 12.3 yards per reception.
Considering the repertoire that both wide receivers are coming to the AFC East division with, Tyreek Hill couldn’t help but acknowledge the same. The Cheetah tweeted, “WR position getting interesting over here in the AFC East.” In comparison to them, since 2016, the Dolphins wide receiver has registered 740 receptions, 10,425 yards, and 77 touchdowns, averaging 14.1 yards per reception.
That said, let’s dive deeper into the signings. In Adams’ case, he will play with Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers again. And who can forget their QB-WR era? During their time in Green Bay, from 2016 to 2021, they both captivated fans with their impressive on-field chemistry. As per NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Rodgers-Adams duo recorded 69 impressive touchdowns with 622 receptions and 7,590 receiving yards in their Bay’s time. Isn’t that impressive?

Have an interesting take?
Having had a tough start to their season, even firing former head coach Robert Saleh, the Jets sit third in the AFC East with a record of 2-4. Amidst this record, though, wide receiver Garrett Wilson’s surpassing the 100-yard mark performance with Rodgers cannot be ignored. But Adams’ conditional trading is poised to improve the Jets’ stats this season. After sitting out the Raiders’ last three games due to injury, Adams will look to reignite his partnership with Rodgers and help the New York franchise turn their season around.
When it comes to Amari Cooper, he’s joining a team that sits atop the division. But Tyreek Hill’s Dolphins, who are in second, have a game in hand. Needless to say, after a close win over the Jets, the Bill would want to build on their performance. And from the looks of it, Cooper is more than ready to partner with Josh Allen. After the trade was finalized, Cooper said in a press conference, “[Allen] plays with a lot of grit. He’s been one of the best quarterbacks in the league for a while now… to be able to play with him and experience that in person will be cool.”
As exciting as these signings are, even for Hill, he believes they’ve got nothing on him. When asked about the trades on Wednesday, the Cheetah replied, “They still not the best receiver in the league. ‘Cause I am. And I stand on that.” But he couldn’t help but acknowledge that going up against these pairings would be challenging.
“I’m definitely happy for the bunch of old quarterbacks… So, it’s gonna be like a good test man for our DBs whenever we playing.” His comments about the trades come at a time when there have been rumors about his future in Miami, too. Will Hill even be in the AFC East division going forward to go up against the Bills and Jets?

Tyreek Hill quashed the prospect of a return to the Chiefs
Before being traded to the Dolphins, the NFL standout wide receiver also played for the Chiefs from 2016 to 2021. And, once again, the Cheetah’s returning rumor to his former team has been spreading like wildfire. This speculation came after the Dolphins star highlighted his Chiefs tenure through a social media post.
Hill took to his Snapchat to share his best moments at Kansas City, even sharing a picture with Patrick Mahomes, writing, “The connection was special.” He fueled the speculation further by tweeting, “woke up to trade news exciting.” This was when Davante Adams’ trade prospects were at their peak, but many couldn’t help but think Hill was hinting at his future, too. Especially after his highlight reel.

An NFL insider even disclosed a significant update on how much money both teams have for trading him. The seven-time Pro Bowler and speedster Tyreek Hill had previously signed a phenomenal 3-year, $90 million contract with the Dolphins. And even though he started the season with 130 receiving yards, he has been held under 70 yards in each of the last 4 games. And, as Miami seeks to .500 against the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, all eyes are set on Hill’s performance.
That said, while he may have instigated the rumors about a Chiefs return, he was just as quick to quash them. After his tweet about the ‘exciting trade news,’ he addressed the media, saying, “I’m just focused on right here and right now. We’ve got a beautiful team here, and I want to be a part of it. We’ve got a great situation here… Moving forward, I would love to be here — I love being here.”
