The Eagles have found an ingenious way of relieving tension! Everyone is aware that the Philadelphia Eagles are not soaring right now. They lost straight three games post-mid-season. Then on Christmas Day, they surprised fans with a win over the New York Giants. You’d think their bad luck was over, right? Not so soon. On New Year’s Eve, the team lost out to the third-ranking team from the bottom. After the humiliating 31-35 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, tensions are sky-high.
There’s just one game to go before the regular season wraps up. Can the Eagles bounce back? Amid all these questions and tensions, WR AJ Brown did something that he thought would lighten the atmosphere. Was he successful?
AJ Brown almost tanks his own game
What was this unique team-bonding exercise? A reporter took to X to share what had happened. Brown “organized the Escape Room outing with about 30 #Eagles players last Friday,” Jeff McLane, of The Philadelphia Inquirer, reported. But instead of easing the tension, it became worse. Brown joked that he himself felt like stepping out after 15 minutes. It was because he felt “claustrophobic”. But he did not want to make his team lose. Right Tackle Jordan Mailata praised Brown for this. You may have heard whisperings that “Brown is not a leader“, but Mailata trumped all that. He said, “All this talk about AJ Not being leader…you guys don’t know him like we do. He’s a great leader.” The Eagles may have escaped this room, but can they escape another losing streak?

The Eagles proved their mettle when they started the season 10-1. But in the last few games, it’s been going downhill for them. They lost four of their last five games. Philly wanted to shake things up on the defensive of the ball. Hence, they promoted Matt Patricia to the role of DC. But the move failed to bear fruit.
In their latest game, they had the third-worst defensive performance. The metric was based on the success rate of any team this season. If they are to make it to the playoffs, they need to beat the Giants again on January 7. Unfortunately, it’s not such an easy route to the playoffs. The Dallas Cowboys also need to be handed a defeat by the Washington Commanders.
The Eagles might beat the Giants. But the Cowboys losing to the Commanders? The chances of that happening are very low. So, is their current campaign already over? Week 18 will decide the Iggles’ fate.
