Russell Wilson is a bona fide football star, though his time with the Denver Broncos hasn’t been as fruitful as with the Seattle Seahawks. Again, Wilson is proving that it is not easy to put down the Ohio-born. With his latest tweet, he reminisces about the year gone by — but what does the future have for him?

Even though the Broncos failed to get a playoff berth this season, the quarterback finds his happy moments from the year. And despite being benched for the season’s last two games, the Broncos man relishes victory over the fierce rivals.

The Broncos started the season poorly and even lost the game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6 at Arrowhead Stadium. But the Super Bowl winner turned up the heat for the return leg in their backyard and defeated the reigning champions 24-9. With a fan sharing his best highlights from the season, Wilson couldn’t stop himself from talking about the year.

“The Double Spin “Toe Tap” by Courtland Sutton in Buffalo & us finally beating KC were my favs!” wrote Wilson on X (formerly Twitter). He refers to the catch the WR made on the touchline, and with defenders hounding him, Sutton completed the catch within the bounds by his toe.

But Wilson also gave a message of hope to all his fans worldwide. “2023 was fun. 2024 about to be better!!!” wrote the QB, signaling his active participation this year, which wasn’t the case last year. But will things change for him at the Broncos?

2024 is here, and the future is uncertain

The 9X Pro Bowler was benched for the last two inconsequential regular season games. Rumors started that the Broncos would trade Wilson. However, the management and the head coach, Sean Payton, are still unsure.

“Communication will be important, and, yeah, that final decision hasn’t been made,” said Payton on Wilson after the last game of the season. Higher-ups within the Broncos have also stayed tight-lipped about the entire situation. And Wilson himself hasn’t opened up much on this topic as well.
