With the Halloween deadline for trades fast approaching, teams are trading players left and right. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that quite a few teams are exploring trades for their Wide Receiver positions. “Wide receiver is a buzz-worthy position entering the deadline. People I’ve talked to believe the Colts, Packers, Panthers, and Chiefs have at least monitored the receiver market in recent weeks,” Fowler wrote on Friday. Now it seems the axe is going to fall on Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy. But which team will he be traded off to?

The Broncos have not made any power moves so far, except trading off Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers. While it is evident to everyone that the Orange Crush roster needs a dramatic overhaul, with some even asking for star QB Wilson to be benched, will Sean Payton make big moves?

Jerry Jeudy did not turn out to be the star that Broncos had hoped for

There has been a lot of conversation around moving Jerry Jeudy. The 24-year-old is yet to live up to the expectations the Broncos had of him. With high hopes in mind, he was picked 15th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. He was touted as on the path to becoming the Broncos’ numero uno WR. But 3 seasons later, he’s a non-factor at his worst and a high-end No. 2 at his best.

#10 had 5 catches for 5 targets in the Green Bay Packer’s match but failed to cross 65 receiving yards in his last five outings. The Alabama product is still to accomplish the milestone of 1,000 yards in any of the seasons he has played so far. 2022 was his best season in his entire career. He recorded 9 touchdowns and came extremely close to the 1,000-yard mark at 972.

With those stats, he is yet to see a significant pay rise in 2024. And is earning just under $13 million on his fifth-year option. At that price, he might just be more valuable to the Orange Crush in a trade than on the gridiron field. So, who’s on the buying side for the WR?

Which way will Jeudy swing?

According to Mile High Huddle, the Kansas City Chiefs are the betting favorite to acquire Jeudy. But that seems unlikely as the Chiefs have dropped out of the WR market after acquiring their former player, Mecole Hardman from the New York Jets. The Chiefs wanted to take some pressure off Travis Kelce and create a dependable 2nd target for Mahomes.

If the Chiefs are out, the Green Bay Packers might be the strongest suitor for Jeudy. Wisconsin Sports Heroics reported that Jeudy was linked to the Packers before as well. And if Sean Payton does decide to trade him off, the Packers would be the destination.

But the upcoming match against the Chiefs may also be an opportunity for the Broncos to showcase Jeudy. You know, just in case the Chiefs are up for another WR. Will the trade materialize or will Jeudy remain a liability on the Broncos’ roster?
