Tua Tagovailoa has shown consistent improvement ever since he stepped into the league. He finished his season with 4,624 passing yards and made his name in the MVP contention. But, the Miami Dolphins QB started to show this huge uptick in numbers as his 2022 season ended, the season before which he got married to Annah Gore.

In his own words, tying a knot with Gore had made him more grounded and focused on football. Perhaps that’s the reason why he’s shown such a massive improvement as he’s more dedicated and focused. However, unlike many other athletes, the QB keeps his love life private, with only a few things to know about his high school sweetheart.

Who is Annah Gore, the woman who took Tua’s last name?

Annah Gore was born on June 11, 1999, to Christina and Gary Gore. Her mother is a realtor, and her father is a private wealth CEO. Annah has four siblings, two brothers and two sisters named Ally, Grace, Garrison, and Ayden. Born in High Point North Carolina, Gore went to St. Gertrude High School, where she also played field hockey.

Some time back, her Instagram account @annahtagovailoa used to be private, but now it is not. She has about 6.5k followers and has a handful of posts with her friends and family. It’s not clear where the Dolphins QB and Annah Gore met for the first time, but sources say that Tua Tagovailoa and his wife attended the University of Alabama together, where the Dolphins QB played as the Alabama Crimson Tide QB.

Her professional life is a secret, but reportedly, she is an entrepreneur. Gore took Tua Tagovailoa’s last name when the couple got married in 2022. The couple tied the knot in July 2022 right before the Miami Dolphins training camp was about to start. That changed Tua’s outlook on life and football post-marriage. “No girls for me I guess,” Tagovailoa said and continued, “That’s the perspective, but same focus — the season and what we got here at training camp.”

Shortly after the marriage, the couple welcomed their first child in the world, a baby boy named Ace. Football is a somewhat calculated sport, a space where the QB shines. However, fatherhood is a whole new experience and in Tagovailoa’s own words “There’s no playbook” for raising kids. Interestingly, the QB despite his football fame and glamour likes to maintain a private life, the notion that applies to his wife and family as well.

The Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa likes to keep his life as private as possible.

In August 2022, Andy Slater of Fox Sports spilled the beans about Tagovailoa’s nuptials. The radio host took to X and posted, “SLATER SCOOP: Tua Tagovailoa has picked up another ring. Congratulations to the Miami Dolphins’ QB who got married two weeks ago, a clergy source tells me.” As the news went public, it was evident that the Dolphins QB wasn’t fond of this intrusion.

Commenting on the same, Tagovailoa said, “I mean, for me, I love to keep my life as private as possible and that’s what we tried to do with me, my wife, and my daily.” He also added,“But obviously in this world that’s not how it is. It’s almost kind of disrespectful by doing that but it is what it is. Can’t do anything about it. I have a wife.”

Since then, the couple has been vocal about their relationship on the social media. On his first anniversary, the QB posted some solo pictures of his wife sitting at a restaurant. “Never one to put my private life out there. But this one deserved a post. Happy 1 Year Anniversary to my beautiful wife. I love you,” wrote the QB on Instagram.

Additionally, in 2023 at the Luau With Tua event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel And Casino in South Florida, Annah and Tua Tagovailoa were seen with their son Ace. They posted in beautiful outfits as the QB sported a new look with a mustache. Hopefully, the fans will get to see more of this couple in the coming future.
