The 29-year-old WR appeared on the former Bears’ WR Brandon Marshall’s interview show “I AM ATHLETE”. Hill was extremely straightforward throughout the interview and when asked whom he considers the better QB, his ex-teammate Mahomes or his present one Tagovailoa. He said, “They’re neck and neck” Cheetah did shed away his diplomacy later on.
No. 10 further said about his teammate, “My boy Tua he didn’t have the start to his career the way he wanted. But he’s slowly changing people’s minds right now as we speak. So, at this rate going off the year to this year, I would say Tua is a better quarterback.” Not only this, Hill had some words about former teammate Mahomes as well.
It is difficult for anyone to deny the impact that Mahomes has had not only on the Chiefs squad but also on the entire football world. Cheetah reluctantly accepted that as well, as he stated, “If we go over the course of careers, obviously Pat, you know, is different.” But Hill came back and reiterated his point by saying, “But this year, neck and neck.” Well, the question will be answered soon enough, as both teams are set to face each other this coming Sunday.

Patrick Mahomes and Tua Tagovailoa have previously faced each other. Back in 2020, when Hill represented the Chiefs, Mahomes and Co. defeated the Dolphins 33-27. Both the youngsters performed brilliantly in that game, registering 2 TDs each. However, Mahomes was better at passing and rushing. But times have changed, or have they?
Tagovailoa has improved significantly since his rookie season, and he is closing in on Mahomes. As mentioned by Hill earlier, the 25-year-old has leapfrogged ahead of many QBs in the league. But Mahomes hasn’t been stagnant as well. The reigning Super Bowl MVP is having another stellar season.
