As each day passed by since Aaron Rodgers hit free agency for the 1st time in his career, everyone in the NFL wondered where he would end up landing next. Until the past few days, there were 4 options for Rodgers. Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings or possibly retirement. Then, suddenly, the Vikings were out of the equation as they chose to stick with JJ McCarthy. Elsewhere, the Steelers and Giants apparently had standing offers ready for Rodgers. However, it was radio silence from the end of Rodgers. No matter how many times the Steelers or Giants knocked on his doors—Rodgers remained mute. Why? Thanks to Mike Florio, we finally have the answer.

In his latest report published by Pro Football Talk, Florio cleared Rodgers’ name from all the criticism. How? By claiming it was his agent, David Dunn, who wanted Rodgers to remain patient. “Rodgers’ agent, David Dunn, has been encouraging Rodgers to be patient. Patience can become leverage. Leverage can improve offers.” So, Rodgers was just being a good client, that’s all. It was not like he was ignoring the Steelers or the Giants. He was just weighing up his offers until a final decision could be taken.

And considering the Steelers had an offer ready for him since the start of the free market, Rodgers did honor their pursuit. Ignoring the Giants, Rodgers was captured visiting the Steelers facility on Friday morning. At first, it looked like Rodgers was there to sign his new deal. Then, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writer Gerry Dulac added, “Sources have cautioned a commitment from Rodgers may not come today. If at all. As he is just visiting with team owner Art Rooney II, coach Mike Tomlin and GM Omar Khan.”

So, it’s only a meetup with the big bosses in Pittsburgh, nothing else, for now. But if you look closely at the Steelers’ unwavering interest in signing Rodgers. It may not be too long before they announce his acquisition from free agency. Given the Steelers have already signed two-time Pro Bowl receiver DK Metcalf, Rodgers might not find it too hard to settle in his new home. And add George Pickens to the mix. The Steelers’ offense could look quite threatening once they get their hands on Rodgers.

With that being said, the Steelers may have finally resolved their QB issues before next season. But what about the other team, which was also hoping to add Aaron Rodgers? Well, it seems like they are preparing to draft a top prospect straight from college.

New York Giants predicted to use their No.3 overall pick on a star QB

Let’s just say the Giants knew whom they needed to get to turn this franchise around. Like in a weak QB draft class, Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders have been the only names that have made the rounds all off-season. Yep, there are other names like Jaxson Dart and Quinn Ewers. But no one even comes close to the hype Ward and Sanders are getting. To make things even more interesting, Sanders already had the eyes of the Giants on him all season long last year.

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah stated, “Someone outside of the Giants organization but someone inside the league said that the Giants had a presence at every single Colorado game this year. They were following Shedeur Sanders around the entire season.” So, all that stalking of Sanders could actually pay for the Giants, you know. Jeremiah also predicts that Sanders will most probably be available at No.3 for the Giants to scoop him up. He believes Cam Ward will go to Music City and Abdul Carter to Cleveland. That means the Giants will have a clear route to Sanders come NFL draft.
