It seems like the Jacksonville Jaguars will be playing for the first time without their quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, since he was drafted in 2021. The fanbase was more saddened by his injury than by the 31-34 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. Millions of Jaguars fans have been constantly taking to X to find out what’s the latest update on their star QB’s injury. And it seems that they can finally heave a sigh of relief.
And if Lawrence has to sit out the next few games, who could be his possible replacement and how will the Jaguars fare in his absence as they make a push for the AFC Championship playoff?

During the Bengals game, Cincinnati tackle Walker Little stepped on the QB’s ankle during the fourth quarter, and it twisted. It resulted in Lawrence being sacked. After the sack, he clutched his ankle in pain, ripped off his helmet, and angrily shoved it away. He then walked off the field and was immediately scanned for any serious injuries. His X-ray came clean, and the head coach later announced that it was a “high-ankle” injury.
According to a video by The Fantasy Doctors, he suffered an injury that is going to “significantly prohibit his mobility for the next month or so”. However, the doctor said that there was hope for the QB and fans could see him on the field sooner rather than later as Patrick Mahomes had also suffered a similar injury last year and he ended up playing through it.
It had been a extraordinary night for the QB who completed 22 passes for 259 yards and 2 TDs. Now with him gone, for at least the next game, how will the Jaguars perform against the Cleveland Browns?
Will Lawrence’s absence their winning chances in the next game?
In the Week 14 matchup, the 7-5 Browns will take on the 8-4 Jaguars. Even though it looked like the Jaguars would win the game, after Trevor Lawrence’s injury, it seems like the Browns now have a solid chance of defeating the AFC South leaders. The Browns are coming off two back-to-back losses.

With their star QB Deshaun Watson lost for the entire season, the Browns are also not looking like the team that they were during the start of the season. QB Joe Flacco is having some trouble finding his chemistry with the team, but Browns fans are hoping that it will get better with time.
