Somebody needs to ask the Jets to get out of the hot waters, or they’ll seriously suffer a third-degree burn. This season, they’ve spent more time in controversies than on the field, thanks to Aaron Rodgers and Woody Johnson. We don’t need to tell you about the recent controversy surrounding the Jets’ owner. It’s been everywhere. As much as it baffled everyone, it’s now a ‘hot topic.’ This ‘tea’ that has been spilled has everyone talking about it. Recently, Kayla Nicole also shared her opinion (more like an Instagram story).
In case you’re still unaware of the much-talked-about ‘hot topic,’ Woody Johnson blocked a potential trade for Jerry Jeudy with the Broncos last year because the WR’s ‘Madden ratings’ weren’t that impressive. I mean, every time people read this, they burst into laughter. You all need to check social media to see how many memes have already been made about this whole situation. Anyway, now that it’s become such a hot topic, Travis Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole, also chimed in on the discussion. Posting a meme related to the whole thing, Nicole wrote a 4-word message for the team as well: ” the gaaahhhdamn jets man.”

We don’t blame Kayla. That’s pretty much everyone’s reaction to this whole news. If it was just Woody Johnson denying the trade, he and his team might have found a pretty good explanation for it. But this time, it’s the businessman’s teen sons who are involved in the matter. As most of you know, it was for his sons, Jack and Brick, that Woody vetoed Jerry Jeudy’s trade. While the whole discussion was going on with the team’s personnel, the Johnson & Johnson heir was texting on his phone (probably asking his sons for their opinion).
The Jets must be sitting in a corner somewhere, blaming their stars right now. The New York team can hardly get out of one controversy before they land in another. First, the constant losses, and now being all over the media for all the wrong reasons. At this point, it feels like even God doesn’t want to help them.
The cat’s out of the bag for Woody Johnson

Imagine a 77-year-old former U.S. ambassador and the owner of a big business empire making his NFL team’s decisions based on his teenage sons. The more you read about it, the crazier it gets. Joe Douglas must be the happiest person on earth right now. Douglas, who was the general manager of the team at that time, was overseeing the whole trade process. The 48-year-old had almost finalized everything with the Broncos until the last minute, when Woody raised a red flag.
And after the team fired him in the middle of the season this year, he did say that he had to be answerable to a teenager. Douglas’s words didn’t make much sense at that time, but now we know. We owe it to The Athletic‘s Zack Rosenblatt, Dianna Russini, and Michael Silver, whose report spilled the whole story.
Woody Johnson has not commented on the whole situation as of now. When the media asked former Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy, he said he doesn’t believe it and that it’s funny if it’s the case. The NFL fans, who just days ago were blaming the Jets’ management for the team’s failures, are now pointing fingers at Johnson for getting too involved in decisions that should be left to the coaches and general manager. While this whole situation has become meme material, it also raises some real questions about owners overstepping their boundaries.

This whole mess has put a dent in Woody’s reputation. And now it’s up to his PR team to do some damage control, but the harm’s already done.
