Is it time for the Eagles to make some serious changes after their disappointing game against the Saints?

It’s been a rough Sunday Night Football for the Philadelphia Eagles as they struggle to find their footing against the New Orleans Saints. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been at the center of the chaos, with two costly turnovers in the first half—a fumble and an interception—both setting the Eagles back big time. Fans are losing patience with head coach Nick Sirianni, especially after he made two questionable calls to go for it on fourth down, which led to zero points and more frustration.

As the Eagles struggle fans had a new drinking game: take a shot every time the Eagles turned the ball over. That’s right—ready, set, sip! Amidst the chaos, Jason Kelce shared a GIF that perfectly captured the mood, captioned with “FML.”

It’s safe to say he and Travis Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole, were feeling the frustration. The game wasn’t just a nail-biter; it had them questioning if they could survive another turnover. Here’s hoping the Eagles turn it around before the next shot is poured!

Senior NFL analyst, Craig Carton didn’t hold back, tweeting, “Nick Sirianni might very well be the worst in-game head coach in the league by a mile. I wanna feel bad for Eagles fans but I don’t.” This sparked a wave of angry reactions from Eagles supporters, with one fan ranting, “I might… hate Nick Sirianni? Like real bad.” Another echoed the sentiment, blaming the coach for the team’s performance: “Nick Sirianni is the problem, he is not helping him n the team… the problem of the Eagles is their coach.”

On top of this, the Eagles’ offensive line is looking shaky, particularly after losing Lane Johnson to a concussion mid-game. Without Johnson, Hurts is under even more pressure, leading to mistakes. His two turnovers have put the Eagles in a tough spot, trailing the Saints 3-0 at halftime.

Can the Eagles turn it around? injuries and Saints’ struggles could give them hope

Have an interesting take?

Despite all their struggles, the Eagles are not out of the game yet. While the Saints jumped ahead early with a field goal, they haven’t managed to do much else offensively, with their high-powered offense stalling. Derek Carr has had a quiet night so far, going 7-of-13 for just 51 yards.

The Eagles’ defense has been their saving grace, shutting down the Saints after their initial score and keeping them within reach. With star Saints players like Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave struggling to make an impact, the Eagles could still make a comeback.

However, key injuries are mounting for Philadelphia. In addition to Johnson, wide receiver A.J. Brown is sidelined with a hamstring injury, and special teams ace Britain Covey is also out with a shoulder issue. These absences have forced the Eagles to rely heavily on Dallas Goedert, who came up big with a 43-yard catch, one of the few offensive highlights for Philly.

If the Eagles can clean up their act and stop the turnovers, there’s still hope for a late-game surge. For now, it’s all about staying in the fight.
