After the crushing defeat at the hands of Eagles on February 9 last month, Travis Kelce was pushed into oblivion. Gone were the talks of GOAT NFL TE, replaced by chatter over his retirement. In fact, big bro Jason Kelce also rushed out to talk to him in private. It was hard! All hopes of Chiefs’ victory were over by the 3rd quarter as the Eagles led 34-0 before the Kansas-based team could even score. Almost 45 days later, things have started coming back to normal. The first indication came with his announcement of returning for his thirteenth season. Then, a few days ago, he was seen having dinner with his billionaire girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

On Wednesday, March 26th, he took the fun one notch up with his funny antics on X. The Kelce brothers own a significant part of the company, Garage Beer. They posted a photo on X showing a beer brand truck. The Chiefs’ TE got excited and wrote, “Is this thing headed to my house?” Well, one thing is clear. He wants to have fun before things get serious in a few months.

Travis Kelce and his brother joined hands with the Cincinnati-based Braxton Brewing Company in 2024 to create a lager beer, Garage Beer. But it was different. Fans liked it to such an extent that the company was forced to transform the brand into a spinoff company of its own. The company aims big. And that truck shows the development phase.

In November last year, they were supplying to a dozen states. And their plan was to expand it to another dozen states, at least. With the NFL off-season, the Kelce brothers can now focus on their plans to make their beer company into a big brand. They aren’t only NFL stars but a cultural trend-setter family as the Chiefs superstar is also making his way into Hollywood.

But while the NFL world is waiting for his silver screen appearance and gridiron comeback, he is fighting the memories of the Super Bowl LIX loss. The scenes from New Orleans, with the TE leaving the stadium alone, were heartbreaking. Finally, he is opening up.

Travis Kelce apologizes to Jayson Tatum

Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics forward, has been a die-hard Chiefs supporter. Just like millions of fans, he was also heartbroken over their loss. Before the big game, he was also cheering for the Chiefs, hoping they would create history. The NBA star was talking to the Kelce brothers on the New Heights podcast, where he said, “You guys trying to make history and win your third, like, I appreciate it, you know, potentially, watching, you know, history being made.”

He was just being a genuine fan. But the game turned out to be everything they had never anticipated in their wildest dreams. The 3-peat hopes were buried deep in New Orleans with a 22-40 loss. Travis Kelce couldn’t say anything else but apologize and replied, “So, I appreciate you jumping on and, and being, and I am sorry that you had to endure that.”

The plan is to make things right this year. Almost the entire Chiefs Kingdom had accepted the sad reality that the tight end was going to retire. But he is coming back for one last dance. A lot depends on the trio of him, QB Patrick Mahomes, and HC Andy Reid. They need to fight their way back to the top. It’s the only way to earn back the respect their ‘dynasty’ commanded. The 2026 campaign will test their true resolve and strength.
