Will the Chiefs complete the 3-peat? Well, that is the burning question. The Chiefs are on the verge of achieving something impossible and have made it to a 3rd Super Bowl in a row. Now, the only thing that stands between them and history is the Eagles. The two teams will face each other at the Super Bowl on the 9th of Feb. Interestingly, this won’t be the first time they’ve squared off for the championship in recent years. Just 2 years ago at Super Bowl LVII, the two teams faced each other at State Farm Stadium. This meeting did not go well for the Eagles as the Chiefs won a closely contested game 38-35. Well, will that loss be just the motivation they need?
Travis Kelce for one, certainly believes that they would still remember that loss and have a “sour taste,” from it. Recently, Kelce spoke on NEW HEIGHTS WITH JASON AND TRAVIS KELCE about how that loss would still sting the Eagles and how they will be the toughest challenge they have yet to face. “We got a huge task coming up and man, it’s gonna be electric, it’s gonna be absolutely electric. We know Phillys got the sour taste in their mouth from the last one and they are a hell of a f–king football team. This will be the best team we play all year.”
The fans would certainly hope that this would be a great game and both the teams will certainly give them all. The Eagles will still be feeling the sting of their last loss and will look to use that to their advantage. For the Chiefs, there is just one question, the 3-peat. And while this is what everyone seems to be talking about, there is little to no discussion about that within the team.

Talking about the same, Kelce said, “Everybody in the building is just focused on you know doing their job. You know, that’s how we got here, that’s how we got the first one, that’s how we go the second one. It’s the only way you win football games and get to the Super Bowl, is if you focus on the task at hand.” Kelce’s words clearly reflect the championship mindset that has been key to the Chiefs’ dominance and what made them the best team of this generation.
Is Jason Kelce supporting the Eagles?
Despite focusing on the Eagles and their chances at a three-peat, Kelce also took the opportunity to question his brother. During the podcast, Jason Kelce was spotted wearing an Eagles cap and sweater, and Travis Kelce certainly took the opportunity to tease his brother about it. Recently, a clip of the podcast was shared on Instagram where Travis was humorously asking his brother, “We can’t tell who you are rooting for, Jason.”

The former Eagles center, quickly responded, “This is just what I wear around the house. I have a lot of Eagles gear.” Well, it makes sense as Jason spent his 13-year-long NFL career with the Eagles. Earlier as well, the elder Kelce sibling has spoken about the same, clearing his stance and mentioning how he will always support the Eagles. He also mentioned how he would want his brother to have a good game, but in the end, will always support his former team.

Jason Kelce was a part of the Eagles squad that lost to the Chiefs 2 years back, and while he might not be there any longer, he will also have a “sour taste in his mouth”, and would want his team to get revenge. For Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, it’s an opportunity of a lifetime and whoever stands in their way, they are bound to give their all to win that coveted 3-peat.
