Ed Kelce might just be the most sought-after NFL dad ever. His endless support for Travis Kelce and his brother Jason has helped them reach the “New Heights,” which might otherwise be much more difficult to scale. So, what better time to express his gratitude towards his father than Father’s Day?

The Kansas City Chiefs TE took to TikTok and shared some peak moments that he’s had with Papa Kelce throughout the times. His dad’s special appearances in the Super Bowl and the special version of their podcast, New Heights, are the telltale of his relationship with his father. Kelce’s new TikTok titled, “Happy Father’s Day big guy!!” says all we need to know.

The 3x Super Bowl winning TE’s video is a montage of the times Ed Kelce showed up at various important moments in his life. Apart from various small events that happened in Kelce’s life, including being at the Super Bowl, where he beat the 49ers with a final score of 25-22. The video has Avicii’s timeless classic “The Nights,” playing in the background.

There have been a lot of changes in Kelce’s life. He fell in love, had a bad couple of regular season games, broke Brady and Gronk’s record in the 2023 playoffs, and finally secured a Super Bowl ring. This topsy-turvy journey is what many would sacrifice a lot for. He even became the highest-paid TE in the league and even got a bejeweled Super Bowl ring recently.

All these achievements are a beautiful culmination of his hard work, but obviously, a lot of that credit also goes to his parenting. Speaking of parenting, the Kelce brothers always had that charm. Even when they were growing up, they used to be the light that filled the room. Their father recalled one such story about the Kelce brothers’ childhood.

The time when Jason and Travis Kelce “infected” the room

Every boy remembers going to the barber with their dad to get a haircut, and it’s probably one of the most remembered memories of everyone’s lives. When Travis Kelce was about 6 years old, his father took him and his brother to get a haircut. As the brothers waited, they found a fashion magazine, opened it, and started giggling.

Papa Kelce told the boys to quiet down, but them being kids, they couldn’t stop giggling. It’s a pretty well-known fact that laughter is contagious. And that’s exactly what happened in that barbershop. Everyone in the room had started laughing, and while Papa Kelce was happy, he was also at a loss for words.

“I’m trying to tell these guys, ‘keep it down, quiet, behave yourselves’. But they start giggling and it just gets infectious. Next thing I know, they’re picking everything up and laughing at it,” recalled Papa Kelce in a conversation with NFL.com.

We see the same frivolous personality in their podcast and perhaps that’s the selling point of it. The silliness is sometimes what everyone needs to beat a mundane lifestyle. They indeed say laughter is the best medicine.
