“Like it’s up to means it’s not an $11 million deal”, said Jason on the siblings’ podcast ‘New Heights’. They were discussing the arrival of Brown to the Chiefs’ roster. And according to reports Browns has signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs for up to $11 million. The older brother Jason wanted the audience to understand the nitty-gritty of these NFL deals.
“He’s got to be a pro bowler. Certain amount of catches, certain amount of yards”, said Jason. The former Philadelphia Eagles center explained the value of the contract depends on multiple levels of incentives. Many times, players could not achieve those and did not earn the amount that was advertised.
However, younger brother and Brown’s teammate Travis shared his positive outlook. “Hollywood is gonna get 11 mil cuz he’s worth every penny. And he’s about to go crazy this year”, said Travis. But what are the exact details of Brown’s contract?
As Jason mentioned, Brown’s contract has the potential to go up to $11 million. And the final figure is not guaranteed. The Oklahoma graduate will get $250K as a workout bonus during the offseason and the same amount will be his roster bonus too.
