To have one of the greatest centers and one of the greatest tight ends the NFL has ever seen in one family. For one of them to be featured in People Magazine’s “Sexiest Men Alive” list, and the other to be dating arguably the most marketable person on the planet right now: Taylor Swift. Jason Kelce started playing in the NFL in 2011 after getting selected in the sixth round of the Draft, 2 years before his younger brother. Since stepping foot into the sport, Jason has remained with the Philadelphia Eagles. Over the years, he’s amassed a total net worth of $30 million. In 2014, he signed a 6-year, $37.5 million contract extension with his team, which brought his average annual salary to around $9 million. How does Travis compare to him?

As reported by celebritynetworth.com, Travis Kelce’s total net worth is $40 million, $10 million more than his elder brother. He began playing in the NFL in 2013 after getting selected in the third round of the Draft and has been a part of the Chiefs ever since. In 2013, he had signed a 4-year, $3.12 million deal with the Chiefs, and then in 2016, negotiated a 5-year, $46 million extension. His contract included $22 million in guarantees, and his average annual salary is approximately $14 million. Following his 4-year, $57.25 million extension with the Chiefs in 2020, he’s now the third-highest-paid tight end in the NFL.

But that’s not all. Other than the basic salary the Super Bowl winners earn from the league they are playing for, there’s a lot more that contributes to their net worth. And in the case of Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift has played a significant role.

How has Taylor Swift helped Travis Kelce’s case?

As big as the name ‘Kelce’ was in the world of the NFL, no one can deny that Taylor Swift helped the tight end gain worldwide recognition. As reported by The Mirror“A report by Morning Consult states that Kelce’s public awareness increased to 63% in September after meeting Swift, jumping from 38% in August 2022. Kelce’s jersey sales also increased 400 percent after meeting the singer.” Now that Kelce accompanied Swift for her Eras Tour as well, there’s no doubt that these numbers would’ve further risen. But while she’s helped Travis’ case, she denied his brother what would’ve been a remarkable achievement.

Jason Kelce and two of his teammates took on Taylor Swift in her playground this year. Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata (all of whom play for the Eagles) formed a band called The Philly Specials. They release Christmas music, the proceeds of which go to charity. Instead of continuing as a trio, Travis Kelce joined the band this year, and because of his newfound global fame, The Philly Specials took the Billboard charts by storm.

Per Forbes, in Billboard’s latest edition of the Vinyl Albums chart, Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) edged out two records of The Philly Specials that stacked into No.2 and No.3. Although ‘The Swift Effect’ has played a significant role in the Kelce brothers’ lives recently, a lot of their wealth comes from side projects and endorsements as well.

What else adds to the Kelce brothers’ net worth?

Travis Kelce is a marketing genius, and his overnight rise to stardom after his relationship with Taylor Swift became public is set to help him earn $5 million annually. Some of the brands he endorses are McDonald’s, Nike, Papa John’s, Bud Light, Sleep Number, State Farm, Experian, and DirecTV. Long before he was called “Mr. Pfizer” by Aaron Rodgers, there were rumors that he earned more than $20 million from the Pfizer partnership. But in reality, the deal value is purported to be closer to $1-2 million. Although Jason Kelce isn’t known to have partnered with any brand, there’s one project the brothers are very proud of.

The hilarious football duo has a podcast called New Heights, where Travis and Jason discuss life in the NHL while also featuring interviews with special guests. Apart from football, they often delve into their off-field interests. New Heights has gained quite the following in recent months, even winning a Shorty Award for Sports & Health Podcast in 2023. However, Travis Kelce’s investments don’t end there.

The tight end also has investments in real estate. In 2019, he purchased a 10,000-square-foot mansion in Kansas City, Missouri, for $995,000. He made headlines again in November when he bought another $6 million mansion in a gated community in KC to get some much-needed privacy. On October 10, 2023, he purchased an undisclosed stake in the Formula 1 team Alpine F1, along with his best chum and 2-time Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes.
