Travis Kelce might be a beast on-field, but off it? The Chiefs tight end’s apparently the life of the party—bringing with him a reputation that’s kind of really hilarious.
Appearing on the New Heights podcast, Grotesquerie star Neicy Nash spilled the beans on what it was like having Kelce on set. And let’s just say, Kansas City’s star TE’s culinary habits left quite an impression.
While his brother, Jason Kelce, joked about the “diva” reputation the 35-year-old carried, Nash was quick to get real. “I’ve said this behind your back,” she teased. “So imma say it to your face—you are probably the nicest and the greediest person I’ve ever met in my life.”

And she didn’t stop there: “You’re so greedy—and you’re bougie greedy,” she laughed, pointing out that his tastes ranged from burgers (casual) to chef-prepped meals (classy).
But Kelce’s hunger wasn’t the only thing the actress called out. His culinary whims went from calling for someone to run out and grab a burger to making a U-turn with, “My chef prepared this for me,” leaving the Grotesquerie crew both entertained and a bit baffled.
And for Nash, this mix of fast-food fan and five-star gourmand defined Kelce’s charm. She even joked about his appetite, adding, “Travis is greedy…I’m talking from burgers to pasta. Only one of us ever ate a salad, and that was me.”
Adding fuel to the legend, Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, shared another side of the nine-time Pro Bowl TE’s bougie habits. She revealed Kelce once went broke after blowing a big chunk from his first Chiefs pay cheque.
Travis Kelce’s $38,000 splurge
Travis Kelce once almost broke his bank! On the WIP Midday Show, Kylie shared a story of how the three-time Super Bowl champ’s first Chiefs paycheck took a nosedive—thanks to one single purchase.
The item? A pair of rare Nike “Marty McFly” shoes, priced at $38,000. “Travis came into town…with the Marty McFly shoes,” Kylie remembered, noting that Jason had to give his brother a bit of a hard time over the crazy expense.
As Kelce explained in a 2021 episode of New Heights, “I’d always been a big Nike guy and watching Back to the Future so many frickin’ times…the fact they were anti-gravity and self-tying!” His enthusiasm wasn’t shared by everyone, though—big bro Jason asked, “What the f—, Travis?” when he heard the price tag.
The purchase left the Chiefs star strutting into his first apartment (also empty, as he recalled) decked out in Marty McFly Nikes and a Rolex, convinced he was “the coolest guy in the world.”

But the reality check soon set in: $38K gone from that precious first pay cheque. Looking back, even Kelce has a good laugh at his younger self, especially as he balances big paydays with big savings.
