We are standing at the threshold of the final stretch of the NFL season. The tension is surely rising for playoff teams and for those who are struggling to keep their hopes alive. While the Chiefs and Lions are off to a head start, there are other teams slowly catching up. As the regular season winds down, every win and loss is going to be a making or breaking of a dream. And the time for criticism and predictions has already begun.
One of the recent predictions making waves right now comes from the Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce. In his podcast New Heights, while discussing the Eagles vs. Packers game, Jason Kelce commented on Jordan Love, “When he’s on, he can slang it.” Kelce’s reply was, “They’re gonna blow them out.” He didn’t stutter when he quoted that. It’s no surprise, considering how dominant the Eagles have been this season.

Well, the Kelce brothers have a point, because Love had his ups and downs this season. In Week 16, he contributed to the Packers’ 34-0 showdown against the Saints, showing dominance with 182 yards and a touchdown. However, inconsistencies were evident in Week 17 against the Vikings. He struggled to push the ball downfield, completing 19 of 30 passes for 185 yards in a loss. Most recently, Love left the Packers’ Week 18 game against the Bears after taking a hit to the elbow. So yes, he can be a menace at times but looking at the recent events, Travis might be right.

Moving forward in the podcast, Jason Kelce painted a much more dire picture for the Steelers. “The Steelers are floundering right now like they are struggling,” he said. I mean he’s not completely wrong, The Steelers’ performance in recent weeks certainly backs up his statement. After a disappointing 29-10 loss to the Chiefs on Christmas day, they dropped out of the first place in the AFC North. They are fighting just to stay in the postseason picture at this point.
As the season slowly comes to its climax, these bold predictions are only adding more fuel to the fire. Whether the Eagles win or the Steelers can make a comeback, these storylines are what NFL fans are going bonkers over. We don’t know what the future holds, but it’s the reason why we’re going to enjoy these upcoming showdowns.

The X-factor that the Eagles need to dominate the playoffs has stepped back in practice on January 8th. Yes, we are talking about Jalen Hurts. After suffering a concussion on December 22 in a loss to the Commanders, he missed the final two regular season games. Well, his comeback is just in time for the Eagles as they march toward the wild-card clash against the Packers. The man already pocketed 3,701 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. No wonder why Travis is so confident about the Eagles blowing the Packers up.
And even without Hurts, the team secured the No. 2 seed in the NFC. The team has all the tools to not just survive the playoffs but to dominate. Travis Kelce’s praise about the Eagles is either coming from a place of respect or fear, as he will eventually be facing them. As the NFC playoff race heats up, Philadelphia has all the pieces to the puzzle to make a deep run. It’s time to see if the Eagles can live up to the hype and deliver when it matters the most.
