Unpredictable—That could be the word you can use to define the Kansas City Chiefs in the last three years. Without that unpredictability, who knows, maybe the Chiefs wouldn’t have been standing where they are right now—one game away from an unprecedented 3-peat. Like nine teams have won two consecutive Lombardi’s before them. But neither could complete the historical feat that the Chiefs have a shot at in the coming days. And where does the secret to their 3rd consecutive Super Bowl trip lie? It could be their offense, as per Travis Kelce.
When Travis Kelce popped up on They Call It Late Night, hosted by his brother Jason Kelce. The former Eagles Center had an interesting question for the Chiefs’ TE. He asked Kelce, “How is this Chiefs team different from the last two?” Kelce, for one, revealed what he feels about this year’s Chiefs team, which makes it a bit special. “This team still feels hungry new almost we got a lot of new players. A lot of different faces from the previous two Super Bowl runs. It’s really a different identity on the offensive side, for sure. The defensive side has a lot of familiar faces over there. I think it’s like a new mindset on the offensive side. I think all of that being said. It’s a new journeyman.”

See, Kelce is damn right. This year’s Chiefs are way different than the last two seasons’ red team. They are far less explosive than they were ever under Patrick Mahomes. This Chiefs team won 11 out of their 15 games by one score margin. And that win over the Bills in their AFC Championship game was their 17th straight one-score win dating back to last year. Now, besides waiting until the last second to win games. The Chiefs weren’t anywhere near to blowing teams apart this season. Like the Chiefs, which played Super Bowl 57 against the Eagles, it used to average 29.2 points per game. That number has gone down to 22.65 this year.
Even Travis Kelce has found himself a victim of the Chiefs’ lack of explosive offense. Since he entered the league in 2013 when he didn’t catch a single pass. This year saw Kelce record his lowest-ever numbers at 8.5 yards per reception and only 3 TDs. Yeah, he did catch over 90 receptions, marking his seventh consecutive campaign. But that changed offensive scheme has surely hurt Trav’s dominance on the gridiron. That being said—at least the Chiefs are winning as they always have been in the last 3 seasons.
So, whatever happened with the offense, it didn’t impact the Chiefs’ results, who could soon have the last laugh in New Orleans. As for Kelce, whose side is he really in Super Bowl LIX?

Travis Kelce’s brotherly love comes in between his commitment to the Chiefs
If not, Jason Kelce had retired last season. This year’s Super Bowl wouldn’t have been just a rematch of Super Bowl 57. It would have also offered us a sequel to Travis and Jason’s face-off in the grandest stage of all. Well, the last time these two met, the Chiefs narrowly won 38-35 to start their possible 3-peat era. Coincidently, it’s the Eagles again who will have the task of stopping the dynasty that started at their very hands. So, with the Super Bowl LIX showdown in a few days, Travis Kelce may have betrayed the Chiefs Kingdom.
Showing up on his brother’s show, They Call It Late Night, on Saturday, Kelce expressed his admiration for the Eagles because of his brother’s time in Philadelphia. “I’m a Jason Kelce fanatic, dude. I love that guy man, I still got all of the gang greens from your guys Super Bows and your run in Philly. I still got some Philly pride, man. I’m wishing the best for those guys, but…you know, it’s.. Go Birds.” Well, Jason outright refused to believe his brother’s love for Philly, saying, “There’s absolutely no chance you mean that.”

Like, who in their right mind would believe Travis is rooting for the Phillies? Maybe he would be the one who will run riot on the Eagles once Sunday arrives. Because ain’t no way Kelce would let go of the opportunity to win another Super Bowl in his glittering career.
