Merry Christmas, folks! I hope you all are having a jolly, merry Christmas. Well, at least the Chiefs are, even if they are away from home. Oh, what a day it has been! Patrick Mahomes and Co. gave their fans the Christmas gift they expected. The 15th win of the season, by taking down the Steelers on their home ground. But it was quite predictable, no? As the Reds celebrate Christmas with a big win, Travis Kelce shared his thoughts on Coach Andy Reid’s leadership.
Post-game, the Chiefs’ TE was asked how tough this stretch has been for the team. With everyone talking about their offense struggling, he straight-up admitted it’s been a tough ride. “Man, it was a challenge, and uh we’ve known it’s been a challenge for quite a while um that being said there’s uh there’s only one way you beat a challenger you just take a head-on man,” said Kelce.
Giving credit to Coach Andy Reid for their success, he added, “ I got a lot of a lot of love for Coach Reid and the way he’s challenged us throughout this process these last three games and how he’s challenged us all year.”

Now, with this win, every team facing the Chiefs will have to do it on the Reds’ home turf, Arrowhead Stadium. Thanks to Andy Reid’s leadership, Patrick Mahomes and his squad will head into the playoffs with the upper hand. “Every game that we play has to come through Arrowhead and um you know we have a lot of pride in, you know doing that year in and year out I think coach Reid I just mentioned he’s the best at challenging us every single week and uh getting us right and ready to play,” said the Chiefs TE.

However, on the other hand, as the Chiefs take another step toward the championship, trouble seems to be brewing for Josh Allen and the Bills.

Are Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen’s injuries a Christmas tradition?
The Bills beat the Patriots in Week 16, securing their division (AFC East). Not that the other teams from the division were much of a threat. As Josh Allen and his squad were locking down the win, the QB hurt his right arm, leaving his hand numb for a few minutes. “It took a good 5-10 minutes of just making sure, trying to get some blood flow back in there and some activation,” shared Allen post-game. Now, with the injury scare, things aren’t looking great for the Bills. The big question is whether Allen will be available for the next game against the Jets in Week 17.
Allen was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, so we’re hopeful he’ll play against the Jets. But if his injury turns out to be serious, the Bills could be in big trouble. What’s going on with the QBs of the top teams out there? First, Patrick Mahomes suffers an injury just as the playoffs are nearing, and now it’s Josh Allen’s turn. Some fans are joking that it’s becoming a Christmas tradition for the QBs of both teams. They’ve already roasted Patrick for ‘faking’ his injury just to look tough, and now they’re saying the same about Josh. “The Allen elbow sprain and Mahomes ankle sprain a Christmas tradition,” writes a user on X.

People can joke all they want, but if Josh Allen gets a serious injury, the Bills could be in serious trouble for their championship hopes. With the Chiefs already having a home turf advantage, it’s gonna be tough for any team facing them. They’re beasts at Arrowhead. And if the Bills end up facing Patrick Mahomes and Co. in the playoffs, they’ve got a double threat. The Chiefs might want some revenge for the loss the Bills handed them earlier this season. So, Josh Allen better get back to full strength.
