The Kansas City Chiefs are trekking up the steepest hill in the second half of this NFL rodeo. They took a 21-17 beating from the Philadelphia Eagles, and it’s no secret that the red-and-gold squad is in a bit of a wide-receiver pickle. Marques Valdez-Scantling fumbled the golden ticket, a go-ahead touchdown in the final minute.

Travis Kelce snagged a four-yard bullet from Patrick Mahomes into the end zone for a sweet six-pointer. But he made a fumble, dropping a key pass just after that. Head honcho Andy Reid called the perfect game plays and made all the right decisions. Yet, they are catching some flak from Mahomes’ flesh and blood. It’s a gridiron family feud, and the drama is spicier than a touchdown salsa dance.

Behind Patrick Mahomes, there’s not just one woman, but a whole squad of powerhouse ladies. From Brittany to supermom Randi Martin; it’s a Mahomes matriarchy.

This time, it’s Aunt Tinesha who threw on the superhero cape. She stepped up and dropped truth bombs on the Chiefs like a football prophet. She called out GM Brett Veach and the Chiefs’ wide receivers. Shane Williams hit ‘X’ to spill the tea, sharing the video with the caption, “Patrick Mahomes aunt @TineshaMahomes isn’t holding back on the recent criticisms of GM-Brett Veach and the Chiefs wide receivers on the latest episode of  @2gemsandamic.”

Tinesha’s on fire, pointing fingers and putting Veach on blast for not bringing in quality WRs after the Tyreek trade, saying, “This is on Veach. He’s not on the field, but he damn sure could have gone and got some help. I think Stevie Wonder could have seen that this is a problem.” She further added, “Now, them same receivers is out there dropping balls left and right and Pat is out there looking a little crazy himself… Kelce was out there looking crazy… the frustration is showing everywhere.” Can the Chiefs shake off the familial heat and turn this season around?

Andy Reid: A not so stellar post bye week record

The Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive mojo is eighth in the NFL for yards per game and a modest 14th for points per game. These are the lowest rankings since Patrick Mahomes donned the QB crown back in 2018. Who’s the culprit, you ask? It’s the same old song–a shortage of top-notch wide receivers. We’re talking a whopping 60 catches dropped, with names like Rashee Rice and Mecole Hardman Jr. in the mix.

One area that’s been most concerning is the play of Chiefs’ receivers. Rashee Rice leads the wideouts with 32 catches, but Kadarius Toney is the only other one with 20 catches and the team has failed to find a consistent production.

Clearly, coach Reid needs to step up with receivers if the Chiefs want to make this run for the Super Bowl count. The Chiefs are rolling the dice in Vegas next week, gearing up for a seismic showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders. Will the Chiefs continue their performance fumble, or will the Mahomes-Kelce duo unleash some gridiron magic and ride the Chiefs to victory?
