If Andy Reid secures this Super Bowl LVIII win, he will become the fifth head coach ever to win three or more Super Bowls. However, that’s not his current focus, nor his “retirement” rumors. His main concentration is on his team, the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis Kelce recently expressed appreciation for what Reid has been doing to improve the team day by day.

The Chiefs are preparing for their fourth Super Bowl victory on Sunday. They have a tough battle ahead of them, as the San Francisco 49ers are hungry too to get their Super Bowl after 1995. However, Kelce and his team believe in their coach, and so, ahead of this game, the tight end appreciated the coach’s practice strategy.

In a pregame press conference of KC, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce appeared in the media to talk about his preparation, the upcoming game, the Niners, and Andy Reid. When asked about the team’s preparation and Andy Reid’s harsh boot camp practices, along with the measures of its impact in the long run, Kelce appreciated his strategy. The 34-year-old athlete said, “Well for a lot of guys, especially when it’s your first time going through that training camp, you don’t really realize exactly why you’re working so hard.”

Kelce continued, “Or why you’re doing the the long drive drills and just why coach Reed has his Camp the way it is, until you get into those games where you know you need to take it up a notch, and you’ve already done it in practice a million times and it just makes you appreciate it when you go back and try and do it all over again.” He added, “It really makes you refocus and use that to your advantage while you’re in St Joseph Missouri in the dog days.

Kelce knows that Reid does everything for a reason, and that’s why the entire team believes in him and does not want Reid to retire anytime soon.

Andy Reid is arguably considered one of the greatest football coaches, even if he doesn’t win his third Super Bowl on Sunday. Many legendary coaches like Nick Saban, Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll have their team after a long season, making Reid one of the last active coaches from his generation. Therefore, some people speculated that Reid might retire after the Super Bowl, but both Reid and key members of the team have debunked these retirement rumors.

Reid said, “My mom and dad told me this when they were working. They said, ‘You’ll know when it’s time.’ … Somewhere you’re going to know when it’s time. Today’s not the day.” Likewise, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt and GM Brett Vreach shared a similar stance on Reid’s retirement talks. Even QB Patrick Mahomes, expressed his doubt on it, saying, “He enjoys it every single day. He loves it. And he comes to work every single day. So it would be very surprising to me and I haven’t gotten any sense of that in any sense.
