It seems that he did not intend to do it on purpose. In the podcast, he told his fans through his brother, “I didn’t announce what I was doing on purpose, despite what I guess was leaked to the media.” He said that there was “too much emotion in the moment”, which clouded his ability to grasp the decision.
And why wouldn’t there be? The retirement aside, the Eagles had started 10-1. But now they couldn’t even make it past the Wild Card round. But he didn’t want to delve into it longer and linger in the spotlight. “I’m not trying to be dramatic and continue to draw this thing out.” As he leaves his football life behind, he will be remembered as the league’s “greatest Center”. So, how has his time at the Eagles been?
Jason leaves the Eagles a legend
When did he join the NFL? The story starts way back in 2011. He was drafted by the team in the sixth round. Being drafted that late is not inspiring. But Kelce took it in stride. He fought his way to the top of the list of the league’s greatest centers. He has been with Philly through 13 seasons. And he has started in 156 games! There has only been one major injury during his career. That, unfortunately, came during his second season when he tore his MCL and ACL and missed most of 2012.

The games are set to take place between February 1 and February 4. This will take his Pro Bowl innings to 7. He has not restricted himself to just football. Jason has done everything from recording holiday songs to playing celebrity bartender on the beach.
