The Eagles have another shot to soar and snag their second Super Bowl title after six long years. Sure, they had a chance a couple of seasons ago, but the Chiefs had other plans. Fast forward to now, and it’s déjà vu—Eagles vs. Chiefs, but this time, things feel different. Philly has put on a show all season, proving why they’re a top contender. And guess what? The NFL GOAT himself, Tom Brady, just weighed in on what makes this Eagles squad so dangerous.
When asked, “Did you feel like, every time you watch the Eagles, it’s the different version or do you kinda know what you gonna get when you call their games,” Brady gave a confident reply. “I think they’ve been, you know, Sirianni has done a great job with the adversity this year and dealing with the adversity,” Brady stated. “And you know. I see him hot tempered at times. I really like that attitude that he’s got. There’s a lot of consistency you see that week to week, and I think there has been a lot of consistency over the course of this season from this team. When I think they’re really unstoppable is when Jalen Hurts his plan in rhythm in the past game.”
“When they can string a consistent rhythmic passing game together, I think they’re pretty unstoppable.”

Well, if we are talking about the consistency of the Eagles, then how can we forget about their strong rushing game, right? I mean, the Philadelphia team has been running the ball like there’s no tomorrow, racking up a league-high 659 rushing attempts this season—by far the most in the NFL. All thanks to Saquon Barkley’s entry to the team.
On the flip side, their offensive line was nothing less than a force on the field in the last game even after major injury issues of the center, Cam Jurgens, and guard, Landon Dickerson. However, their injury is still a major concern for the team ahead of the Super Bowl clash. Though Dickerson started the game following Jurgens’ back injury, he was spotted limping on the sideline.
Speaking of injury, Hurts had his share of injury as well. I mean, who can forget the knee injury that he sustained in the divisional round? But guess what? He bounced back stronger than ever. The QB was on fire in the NFC Championship game, rushing for three touchdowns and throwing another as the Eagles completely dismantled the Washington Commanders 55-23. The result? Now, Jalen Hurts and Co. are all set to meet the Chiefs on Feb. 9th in New Orleans.
But what did Tom Brady say about the defense?
The Eagles’ offense is solid, no doubt, but it’s their defense that truly steals the spotlight. They finished the season with the #1 defense in the league—allowing just 280.9 yards per game. And yeah, you guessed that right. The last time they were #1 was back in 1991! On top of that, they also took the top spot in pass defense for the second time in the last three seasons. Talk about a dominant defense that’s been shutting down offenses all year long.
With all that consistency, it’s no surprise that Tom Brady gave the Eagles a well-deserved shoutout. “I look at that defense, the secondary has been consistent. They’ve been great all year,” Brady continued. “Fangio’s scheme, Zach Baun’s been as consistent. Anybody that D-line, Jalen Carter sweat. Jordan Davis, Milton Williams. Those guys are consistent”

He also added, “The entire defense is consistent. The running games been there all year. That’s consistent. AJ Brown, getting open man coverage, that’s consistent. Goadert, getting open, that’s consistent. The line blocking well, that’s consistent. When they can string a consistent rhythmic passing game together, I think they’re pretty unstoppable.”

At the rate things are going, it looks like Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are about to get a tough challenge before chasing that third straight Super Bowl title.
