Even though he got hurt, he still seemed to move pretty well during the game. After the Week 16 game, he said, “I felt like I was ahead of there, that one; it kind of hurt just to walk in general, whereas now, I can kind of move around walking and stuff like that. Now, it’s just trying to get even better for this next game.” That’s great.

Even stat-wise, he opened the scoring for the Chiefs with a 15-yard run ending in a touchdown. Overall, Patrick Mahomes had 28 of 41 passes (68.2% completion rate) in 260 passing yards with 1 touchdown. The team understood that the interceptions were creating problems. He has avoided any interception since the week 12 game against the Carolina Panthers.
