The past couple of weeks of this season have been exciting, to say the least. However, it brought a barrage of injuries to many teams. Joe Burrow is out for the season, and so is Kirk Cousins. Then, there was Justin Herbert, who was also ruled out for the season. Recently, TJ Watt and CJ Stroud took severe hits in their respective games against the Patriots and the Jets. Amidst this, some good and bad news about Watt and Stroud has surfaced on the internet.

First, the good news for the Steelers fans is that an independent neuro-consultant cleared TJ Watt, and he has come out of concussion protocol. Watt took a knee to his head in the game against the New England Patriots when the RB Ezekiel Elliott ran into him accidentally. He was in and out of the contest multiple times but ultimately got put under observation.

The bad news is for the Texans fans as their star QB, CJ Stroud, also took a hit when some pass rushers hit him, and he was slow to get up. Stroud appeared to be in excruciating pain at the time but managed to walk off the field. In the wake of this, unfortunately, the Texans’ QB did not practice on Wednesday. At the time of the game, the rookie QB was also placed under concussion protocol.

So, will Stroud and Watt return to the field again?

The future of the Steelers’ LB and the Texans’ QB stays dicey

Per Mike Tomlin of the Steelers, TJ Watt might return in the game against the Indianapolis Colts. However, Stroud’s return for the game against the Tennessee Titans is still a mystery, and the team is focused on his long-term recovery rather than just putting a band-aid on it and calling it a day.

“We’ll see how he progresses,” coach DeMeco Ryans said“Not many guys have returned the following week from a concussion. It’s more about the long-term health than the excitement of the game. We care about their long-term health.”

As of now, Davis Mills is supposed to fill CJ Stroud’s shoes and might start the game against the Titans if Stroud fails to recover in time. As for TJ Watt, being cleared from concussion protocols increases his chances of returning to the Colts game.
