We can bet if you are a Chicago Bears fan, you don’t want anything short of a 1985 season. The Super Bowl year. But what happened after ‘85? Heartbreaking to say, but only drought. Enter Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. With his arrival, expectations of a better Chicago Bears arise. And to support him, they hired Ben Johnson, a significant move to get to the top. As the offseason is in full swing, in addition to the staff, the Bears have added three beasts to the roster and the three-time Super Bowl champion has a very important opinion on the same.

The Chicago Bears recruited Jonah Jackson, Grady Jarrett, and Joe Thuney to beef up their squad. Duron Harmon, the retired three-time SB champion and former Bears player, was in a convo with The Big Pro Football Talk. When hosts asked him about the recent additions of three players to help Caleb Williams’s team, he said, “Very Fast, and very quick, the Bears got better.” Hiring some veterans to aid young QB is certainly a great move.

Harmon also mentioned his one-to-one experience with all three veterans, as he played with all three. Thuney with the Patriots, Jonah-in his rookie year- at the Lions, and Grady Jarrett in Atlanta. And will they be helpful? The NFL veteran added, “They will be great leaders in that locker room. They all are winners. They all won when they played at the position they played at a very high level. So, Kudos to the Bears on what they were able to do.” Okay, let’s talk about trade now.

Joe Thuney was with the Chiefs under a five-year contract worth $80,000,000, and this was the last year of his contract. His contract details with the Bears are not revealed at this time. The 33-year-old offensive lineman has won four Super Bowls in total with the Patriots and the Chiefs.

Talking about Grady Jarrett, the 31-year-old has been in Atlanta from 2015 to 2024. Harmon shared moments with him in the 2021 season there. His 2024 stats? 30 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. Now let’s skip to Jonah Jackson. The Bears have signed him on a one-year contract. He had been with the Lions and the Rams since the 2020 season.

But do you know apart from these three veterans, Caleb Williams’s offensive squad will have another one of the top players. Wanna know who that is? Let’s dive in!

Caleb Williams’ Bears have re-signed Doug Kramer

The Bears have made a firm decision to keep Doug Kramer for the upcoming season. He has been with the franchise since 2022. The center originally signed a four-year rookie contract with the Bears worth $3,817,808. After that deal ended in 2024, he received a one-year, $915,000 offer—and he accepted it. Looks cool, right? But this time, a darkness loomed over Doug Kramer. There was no certainty about whether the Bears would re-sign him.

Kramer, a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Illinois, signed a rookie contract and quickly became a wall against opponents. Last season, he played in 16 games, proving his reliability on the field.

Their presence could elevate the Bears to another level, creating a formidable force on both sides of the ball!
