Aaron Rodgers’ injury was a massive blow to the New York Jets. Their ambitions to end the Super Bowl drought finished with Rodgers’ season-ending injury. The Jets won their first and last Super Bowl championship in 1969, and since then, the franchise has been merely hoping for their second championship. After Rodgers’ injury, the team is going through a series of defeats in the 2023 NFL season.

Quarterback Zach Wilson came forward as a starting quarterback, with Rodgers being injured. But after a few games, the Jets benched him and brought in Tim Boyle to lead the Jets’ offense facet. But still, the result was the same, and Rodgers wasn’t happy about it.

‘This has been a sh*t season,’ says Aaron Rodgers

NFL journalist Rich Cimini took to his Twitter account to highlight Rodgers’ frustration about the Jets’ harrowing season. The Jets are down with eight defeats in the ongoing season, and Rodgers can’t wait to be back at the gridiron. 

Cimini wrote, “Aaron Rodgers signs off @PatMcAfeeShow with: ‘This has been a sh*t season, for sure, but we will be back.'” The Jets faced five consecutive defeats in recent games, and Rodgers, plagued by injury, just can’t wait to lead the side.

The Jets are willing to end their 53 years of Super Bowl drought. And to go all in, the Jets made an iconic trade by signing Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers, which ended Rodgers’ 18 years of tenure with the team.

Rodgers is willing to make a comeback

During the season opener for the Jets, in the first four minutes of the game, Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon, which ended his season and had him on the road to recovery. After going through a stint of successful surgeries, Rodgers is showing optimistic signs of comeback. However, the Jets struggled to find Rodgers’ potential replacement in his absence. In the Jets’ Week 14 matchup against the Houston Texans, they are uncertain about choosing their starting QB.

However, Rodgers has been with the team constantly and guided Wilson and Boyle with necessary changes in their gameplay. With everything against the Jets, they can put forth their best game in the remaining five matchups of the regular season. Meanwhile, the Jets enthusiasts can hope for Rodgers to make a stamping comeback in the 2024 NFL season.
