“It seems like such beauty until you realize it’s not a cloud, but smoke.” Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, was heartbroken when she saw Santa Ana winds covering up the sky making it a gloomy evening for her and LA. Thousands of people were evacuated, and over 10000 structures were destroyed since Tuesday. On one side, the Los Angeles Rams quarterback’s family is grappling with challenges. On the other, Stafford might make a huge decision for his on-field stints.
Matthew Stafford appeared in his Rams hat and signature-style white hoodie on Friday at the Rich Eisen Show podcast. In that discussion, the host asked, how long the QB has decided to play? To which Stafford, said, “I don’t want to put a time limit on it. But I definitely think about that way more now than I did in 2009.”
Stafford was drafted in 2009 by the Lions as the first overall pick. Now that he is going to enter his 16th year in the league, his statements give a sense that he might retire soon. But the question is will it be next year?

Further giving a subtle hint of his retirement, Matthew Stafford added, “I’ve got a family, I’ve got young kids. I want to make sure I’m there and be a part of (it). I feel like I do a good job during the season being as present as I possibly can. But I don’t want to miss too much (of family time), but at the same time, I feel like I’m playing at a high level. I love playing this game. I love competing, so hopefully, I can hang around here for a little bit longer.” Well, perhaps the quarterback will take some more time. This is evident in what he said on the podcast.
This means that Matthew Stafford might stay here for a couple of more seasons. Nevertheless, the 36-year-old has stated his love for the family while retirement talks, he is also happy to ensure that his family is doing well amidst the chaos.

Well, updating her fans, Matthew Stafford’s partner wrote, “The insomnia is hitting. Anxiety, fear, wondering how to best serve the ones who lost everything, will the winds pick up, will a new fire start while we sleep?… the list in my head goes on and on, but I know one thing … I have taken a roof over my head for granted too many times, and tonight I’m thanking God for that and praying hard for the ones who don’t have it due to these fires.” However, later she revealed that “I currently believe I have the flu.” And the worst part is that two of their daughters are also down with illness.
And that’s the reason she left her home with her kids. However, knowing the crucial stage, Kelly also added that she won’t be coming close to her husband as he might also get the flu amidst his playoff season.
