The Chiefs are on their way to making history -three conference championship wins in a row. And now, a three-peat isn’t too far away. It feels like the Chiefs set another record with every game they play. And Sunday’s game against the Bills was no exception. The conference championship game wasn’t just another football game; it was a full-blown spectacle.

From nail-biting moments to downright wild plays, it had everything to keep us glued to our screens. Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and a sea of loyal fans tuned in for a story that practically wrote itself: a little drama, a lot of skill, and history on the line.

On Sunday, it wasn’t just the players putting on a show – football fans also showed up in massive numbers. First, starting at Lincoln Financial Field, Philly taking on the Commanders pulled in 44.2 million viewers. Crazy, right?

After the Eagles punched their ticket, we headed straight to Arrowhead Stadium for Chiefs vs. Bills. And, well, the numbers tell the story, a whopping 57.4 million people tuned in to CBS for the Mahomes vs. Allen rivalry.

That’s 13 million more than the Philly game. Let that sink in – more eyeballs, more drama, and a showdown that lived up to every bit of the hype. Well, the Chiefs have to thank pop star Taylor Swift too. Since Swift and Travis Kelce started dating, Chiefs games have seen a boost in viewership. Even if the New Romantics singer is featured on screen for less than a minute, all the Swifties tune into the game to catch a glimpse of her. The Love Story singer has indirectly helped the NFL with their viewership.

And this time, you could give some credit to Hailee Steinfeld too. The Bills Mafia and Hailee’s fans were hoping she’d be there to support Josh. And maybe she was. A source has claimed that Hailee requests not to be shown whenever she attends a Bills game. But fans have a Hawkeye of their own. They’d know if the Starving singer was in the stands.

Fans definitely missed Hailee at the game -one that made history yet again.

Is Patrick Mahomes the greatest QB of our time, or does Josh Allen deserve more credit?

Patrick Mahomes vs. Josh Allen’s game sets a new record

It was the seventh straight year the Chiefs were in the AFC Championship game -and their fourth win. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen faced off in this AFC showdown for the second time. The first time was back in 2020, and even then, Allen had to take a tough loss to the Chiefs. This time, the excitement was through the roof. Buffalo had overwhelmed the Chiefs in their regular season game in Week 12, and fans were hoping maybe, just maybe, the Bills would put an end to the Chiefs’ dominance. But no, Patrick and his crew were once again unstoppable.

This highly anticipated showdown fetched 57.4 million viewers, setting a new record. Sunday’s Bills vs. Chiefs game is now the most-watched AFC game ever. Last season’s Chiefs vs. Ravens game, which had 55 million viewers held the previous record. Just a year later, the Chiefs are breaking records again.

On top of that, this game also pulled in the most viewers for any NFC or AFC game since 2012, when the Giants and Niners had 57.6 million. Chiefs are saying, ‘New year, new records.’ Now, will they be able to secure the three-peat and achieve another feat? That’s what everyone’s waiting for.
